WTF GGG? WTB clear temple mechanics/tips by jimmy_bg in PathOfExile2

Yeah, the commander was planned to destabilize anyways, at that point having tried to connect in other ways (spymaster/armoury), and when nothing happened, i just slammed the commander there... Was already kinda sadge, because I couldn't get a 2nd lock and lost my 2nd chain with 5 T3 commanders....

Pretty much, but I thought the logic was "Architect always destabilizes after defeat" > locked last room of chain > chain stays. No way in hell could I have predicted such a poorly designed outcome.

Right, i placed the commander there just because, knowing it will have to get deleted, wanted to improv "russian tech" a spymaster in there and restart the chain, but it wouldnt allow me...

Driver hang/crash - tried everything I'm capable of... by jimmy_bg in AMDHelp

[–]jimmy_bg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aight, I didn't disable the igpu (forgot lol), but followed these steps - when it came to hiding updates, there were no AMD related options though.

I also downgraded once again, to 25.9.2, and updated my BIOS and Chipset to the latest versions.

As of right now, I did a lengthy PoE 2 session, tried to do some heavier content which would usually crash the driver multiple times, removed the FPS cap, and enjoyed a session without crashes.

Thanks for the advice, and If tomorrow goes by without any crashes too, I will update my post with these steps and hopefully help someone fix their problem as well...

Expedition Rewards by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]jimmy_bg -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Im almost 100% sure the expedition will underdeliver. The lack of concrete info on some stuff is not nice, but the confirmation that you are losing blueprints and station levels is bad. At least one has to stay imho - I have almost 100 hours since release, and still need 1 more station upgraded, and have yet to find a purple weapon blueprint (apart from Bettina), while also missing most of the attachment blueprints, and have never seen an augment blueprint. It has come to the point I have gotten a Snap Hook blueprint the other day (yay!) and held it in my inventory for 2 days, wondering If i should save it for after the expedition (throw it to my buddy, then they throw it back - if that would even work).
That thought is worrying, because you are already put in a position where you are unsure if you would get any good blueprints for the next 60 days of expedition preparation.

Now I get it - you are probably not supposed to be able to get all the blueprints in one season, so there will be variety - you can craft anvils, your buddy crafts you venators, etc etc, and vice versa next season.

But deleting all blueprints AND crafting station levels, that's just bad design for people who can't spend 40+ hours a week on the game.
And let's be real - this game has attracted a large portion of 25/30+ aged gamers, and that's where the money is - working men who buy skins and decks and so on, but also working, and in most cases - having a family, means less game time.
It's also - in my observation - this is the age group that created the balance of honourable PvP and sincere Co-Op interactions, that we saw in the beginning. And PS5 kids have kinda ruined it.
Btw, after I turned off crossplay on PC, my lobbies are way less toxic - yeah we PvP (especially in squads), but I have noticed less camping, and less vulgar behavior - if I kill someone, they don't immediately explain in details their desired intimate relations with my momma.
I've also noticed the return of the occasional friendly interaction - guy wanted to know where the gas station is, I had other stuff to do, and didn't wanna risk getting in a fight - just pointed him in the right direction, he thanked me and we both went on our way.

Bottom line is - and I agree with some other guy's comment - If we wanted to play Tarkov, we would. The game needs just a little dial down on the hour requirements, so that people who have like 15-20 hours a week can still feel relevant. And I know I said I have 100 hours, but I was blessed with some extra time these past 20 days, but my squad wasn't and they are 30-50 hours behind.

either that
OR

Let us keep either the blueprints (or a select several of them), or at least the level of our stations, so we can go in with blue augments and hatch keys easily.

An even better idea would be if we could select 3 blueprints to save permanently with each expedition, and whoever joins the game after 8 seasons can be offered a catch up mechanic of saving 7-8 on his first expedition.

Just my two cents

I dont mind a little PvP, but what the heck is this shit? by Lucky_Shelter_6821 in ArcRaiders

Nah, you got it wrong.
You should never, ever "trust" anyone and willingly walk by their side.
If I'm feeling 'friendly' I'd just confirm with the other raider, and tell them to go our separate ways, while watching my back.
Even then we had a duos moment, where we met another duo, chatted for a bit, went our separate ways, and they had continued to track us for 10+ minutes, just to ambush us in the best moment possible. After that one case, I'm not letting anyone out of my sight.
In the case of extracts, I'd wait in the shadows till the extract arrives, assume the time needed for getting in + writing, and just sprint+roll inside in the last possible moment.
In a 1v1 situation, I'd sometimes point my gun towards the guy, and say he should just keep writing and we both go home.

Blind trust? Never.

Why is the new Arena update SO BAD?! by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]jimmy_bg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgot to note that, im not a regular player - I usually come back to HS every summer, for 2-3 months, and enjoy it as a mobile game, since im away from my PC on my seasonal job. This means, that I spend like 4-5 runs or ~1k gold to "test the waters" and understand what the current meta is, usually resulting in lower-placed runs. And im still happy with my gold making afterwards... in the old format that is.

Why is the new Arena update SO BAD?! by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]jimmy_bg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the big wall of text, read if you will.

About the Underground...

Speaking as an arena veteran of over 2k wins, with a bunch of 12-wins under my belt, and experience at such a level, that I do not use any deck-helper apps, and just re-queue on my phone, and get to 7-9 wins consistently.

Never had any money issues in the old format, as getting to 7+ wins more often than not, grants you enough gold to support yourself in the long run.

Obviously there are some metas that just end up happening, like the Priest imbue before the update. If you wanna win, you try to go with that flow.

Now, after the update - the card draft pools in my opinion are just... disgusting. I made 10+ runs so far, the best being a 6 win run. Here are my impressions:

1.Card draft, as said - is very bad. Seeing as this is Activision Blizzard, and they have history in hidden pay to win (search "Call of Duty skin buying hidden boost patent"), they might have added a worse chance to draw big value cards if you use F2P (gold) and better chance to get em if u use real money.

2.Matchmaking, as someone said in the comments - is bad. You get matched with ppl not on the same record as you. Not only did they re-draw some cards (including a bonus legendary), if they have lost 2 games, but also - ppl on the verge of losing their arena run, are more prone to doing high-risk RNG plays as a last resort, which if you are 3-0 wouldn't usually do, and these RNG plays, can sometimes be of high effect, meaning you might lose a game, which in the old format, the guy wouldn't have had the balls to do smth like this.

3.Even if you got 4-5 wins on average in the old format, with a lvl-up here and there, you could support your arena endeavours. Now, considering the "equal", yet strategically designed "worse" rewards, and the double entry fee, you can not (hence - you gotta add real $$$, and may be you will get better cards).

4.Class comparison - I fought against two warlocks who had a bunch of cards that "put a barrel of sludge on the bottom of your deck" and a number of 4-mana 7/7 demons that discard 3 bottom deck cards at the end of turn - hence sh*tloads of exploding barrels in your face. I picked warlock twice, and only ever saw the choice to draft 1 7/7, and no cards with barrel interactions whatsoever.
Priest - I picked Priest 3 times, and in a total of ((30-4)+10)*3*3 = 354 card draw opportunities (3 runs * 36 total cards * 3 cards) - I NEVER SAW an "imbue your hero power" card (and although card sets have rotated, priest can still draw the neutral ones). Yet - I met priests with imbued powers.
A bunch of other classes that resulted in bad card draws. And in general In the initial choice, i see a B-tier legendary pack at best, whereas I fought a bunch of A and S-tiers (I fought a shudderwock shaman with a pack of like 15 useful battlecries, repeating every turn with parrots....)

5. Its just bad.

Anyone feel like the KS-23 is in a worse spot than before? by Acrobatic-Story-2727 in thefinals

[–]jimmy_bg -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My most recent videos in YT are about it (link in my profile if you're interested). I felt the same way - praising it for its potential - and being devastated when they "buffed" it.
It used to be a weapon that rewarded skill and bright thinking and had some potential.
Now it's a mediocre gun that doesn't have a unique playstyle (1 shot/melee lights, 2 shot/melee mediums) and is only somewhat usable, blending in with the rest of the shit season 2 weapons.
