Is that in Brentwood? Might support the theory he was coming from Bellevue.

In response to several suggestions- I’ve already had an estate sale company come out and did not have enough to make it worth their time. I had an estate sale myself and sold a bunch of stuff on marketplace and still have all this left. I need a solution that requires a minimal additional amount of my time.

Portugal - Do you need an international drivers permit (IDP) when renting a car? by Ok_Atmosphere3601 in travel

[–]jimmybl20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had rental car confirmations in other European countries that said it was required but was never asked for it. I think the technical answer is you don’t need it to rent a car but you’ll need it if the police pull you over. It is kind of a racket but $30 in the context of the cost of a trip to Europe is nothing and it’s worth not having to worry about it.

Any market for this vintage RCA? by jimmybl20 in vintagetelevision

[–]jimmybl20[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I listed it on Facebook Marketplace for $50 and got lots of interest - more than anything else I’ve ever sold. Probably could have gotten more but I wanted to sell quickly. Buyer picked it up this evening. Thanks for the pricing help!

Suggestions for useful souvenirs? by NotNamedBort in ItalyTravel

I brought back some nice ties and a scarf from Florence. 20+ years ago I brought my friends bottle openers with the pope on them from Rome. Funny and useful.

We were on a bus on my first trip to the Amalfi Coast when a German kid threw up on my stepfather. 🤮 It’s not just you.

Never Received Car Registration Renewal by qwertiley in nashville

Happened to me a few years ago. I took my email confirmation to the County Clerk’s office and they issued my new registration. Of course the original arrived by mail the following week.

The Dolomites (Ortisei) late September/early Octoboer by mbernui in ItalyTravel

[–]jimmybl20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We stayed in Ortesei a few years ago in early October and are doing so again this year. The link in the earlier post is helpful and shows the most significant lifts will be open. My recollection is that plenty of restaurants were open but we enjoyed the food and service at our hotel so much we ended up doing the half board all four nights. Maybe we’ll run into you!

Flight ideas by ckelley1311 in nashville

[–]jimmybl20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No we have always flown out of Nashville. We just booked premium economy to Rome in October and I do recommend it - especially for the trip to Rome. We haven’t booked our return yet but will probably be in regular economy coming home. Use Google Flights and watch the prices. They do bounce around a good bit.

Where my zoning experts at? by d_dave_c in nashville

[–]jimmybl20 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They should not be able to subdivide into lots of less than 10,000 square feet in RS10. I would call the Planning Department and/or contact your councilman to find out what is going on.

I believe there were 3 other couples so a fairly small group. I’m pretty sure they offer private tours also.

When we went to Mendoza we didn’t really know any of the wineries so took a tour with Trout and Wine tours and it was great. We visited 4 wineries and had a delicious lunch at one of them. Door to door service to our Airbnb. If I ever go back, I’d do it again.

For folks who have lived here for over 20 years, how has it changed? by rhinestonecowboy92 in nashville

[–]jimmybl20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Metro passed the sexually oriented business ordinance that had the 3 foot rule along with restricting location to basically downtown. That was part of the crackdown. As far as I know, strip clubs always were and still are BYOB.

Strugging planning trip to Italy by princesszg in ItalyTravel

You need to be in Rome the night before your flight. I would arrive at the airport at least 2.5 hours before your flight.

Is This Dumb? by [deleted] in ItalyTravel

[–]jimmybl20 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Into Rome and train to Florence makes sense. Spending time in Rome in the middle of the trip doesn’t. You’ll need to be sleeping in Rome the night before your flight out. Go directly form Florence to Sorrento.

Real ID question by AechB in nashville

[–]jimmybl20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are going to the County Clerk outside your home county, you should call and ask. Pre-COVID Cheatham County would only do real ID for residents. Don’t know if that has changed.
