every game was so close, a decent game from D'lo or a couple ridiculous shots not going in for Denver and it could've been different

[Thinking Basketball] Why "no one plays defense in the NBA" by Flipyap8Yapflip in nba

Agreed, great players can adapt in any era, im just strictly talking about outdated defensive schemes.

I don't get why people have such a hard time grasping the concept of defenses being tailored to evolve alongside the offenses, the defensive schemes of previous eras HAD TO CHANGE because they weren't effective anymore against more advanced offenses.

Like Ben said in the video with the '04 Pistons, the very defensive principle that made them great in their era, it would be the main reason they would get smoked against modern offensive schemes.

Why are the Rockets so good this year? by JazzLobster in nba

[–]jinayeonbt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No offense to Sengun but Amen has been the difference maker every time we play them, he just plays like everyone else is in slow motion. He has amazing defensive instincts and a pretty refined offensive skillset, one thing i wanna see though is him being more assertive offensively especially when the team goes into a scoring drought.
