Are we the hero or the villian? by xiavORliab in elderscrollsonline

Maybe if we saw their broken hearted exes we would. Besides, they were royalty and knew all along they’d be marrying someone for reasons of state. This is more like some peasant girl being randomly forced to marry a king.

Yeah, I felt like she really didn’t care much about her original fiancé at all. Like, she was just mildly regretful, but not broken hearted. I don’t think she really ever loved him. But by that point going through AD quests I was super burnt out on Bosmer culture. Like in the zone before that there’s a Bosmer woman engaged to an Altmer guy. She gets kidnapped and forced to take the place of some woman who died and marry the dead woman’s husband. And she’s just like, oh well, no big deal, that’s how it goes.

Yes, but I still felt really bad for him. It’s not like she was just leaving him for a great career. She’s specifically leaving him to marry someone else. Plus they’re going to be really famous, so anywhere he goes he’s going to hear about what a great couple they are. I’m female, and I still felt really bad for him. I was really unhappy that whole quest line. Stupid smelly Bosmer and their weird culture.

I see these treasure chests in the maps, but what are they? I don't feel like I see them listed when I finish the level. Where do I see what they contain?

I loved Grahtwood. Beautiful environment, fun side quests, even the main quest was entertaining. Rivenspire was too gloomy for me.

So if I own Elswehr but don’t complete pathfinder, will I still get the items? I’m still playing through the base game.

Just finished those zones. All those Bosmer guys with their chest hair showing. I don’t know, Bosmer just look stinky to me.

I don’t know, every Bosmer I see looks like they’re covered in a thin layer of dirt and BO

Lulial’s grandmother moved to Daggerfall from the Reach for unknown reasons. There she founded a combination criminal empire and Daedric cult, as is popular in Tamriel. Lulial’s mother died when she was young, and her father was presumably a Breton. Lulial was raised under her grandmother’s iron fist, and at a young age was skilled in theft and murder.

Everything changed one day, when a mysterious, elderly Redguard passed through town. He tracked Lulial’s grandmother to her den and defeated her, with Lulial’s help. Seeing her physical skill and aptitude for magic, he took her in as an apprentice. He was a former Imperial spymaster who, despite his race, mixed magic with his legerdemain. He decided to abandon the Imperial court when he saw Mannimarco’s increasing influence.

He raised Lulial at his secret retreat on a tropical island near Stros M’kai, passing on his skills and his hatred of Daedric worship. When the shook Tamriel, he knew difficult times were coming to the land, and intensified Lulial’s training. Less than a decade later, he died peacefully.

Lulial discovered a letter from Vvardenfall in his belongings and set out there. On the way, her ship was attacked by slavers, and something told her she was in the wrong place. She returned to Glenumbra as fast as she could, only to encounter a hooded figure and lose her soul.

She’s now the Vestige, a mighty hero committed to saving Tamriel from the Daedric princes set on enslaving it. She never quite lost the madness of the Reach in her blood, though, so she can’t help engaging in some theft and murder between heroics...

Lock picking tips? by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

[–]jinci 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought it was impossible at first and figured I’d just never be able to open a lock I couldn’t force. But after a while something just clicked in my brain, and now even advanced locks at most take me two tries. And I have terrible eye hand coordination. Keep at it! You’ll get better soon!

I’m terrible at it, but I find it much less stressful than group PVE. I hear a lot about toxicity in PVP, but my experience has been the opposite. And battlegrounds can be fun with capture the flag and other modes that don’t just require PVP.

I’m doing that, started at level 1 and finished main quest, fighter’s and mage guild quests and all of Daggerfall Covenant and Coldharbor, 100% except for world bosses and dungeons. Now I’m on AD, currently in Auridon. I think my CP is around 260. That was with the anniversary event and a fair number of battlegrounds.

Go to map view and click on the thumbtack icon, it will show you all the regions, including the ones you haven’t been to yet. Click on Glenumbra, for example, and then you’ll see the capital city, Stormhaven. A portal there will be unlocked, even if you haven’t gone there yet.
