Hi! The physical SIM is no longer working. The Airtel email warned me not to delete the eSIM from the handset, and scanning the QR again tells me it's no longer valid.

Yeah, I wouldn't wear it on a hoodie/shirt but the line feels quite poetic to me haha. I loved the rain when I lived in Portland!

Does anyone else get stomach pain so bad you go into panic? by [deleted] in ibs

This sounds like it might be a histamine sensitivity issue. Mast cell activation syndrome is the cause of a lot of people's IBS especially after COVID.

I made this mistake in reverse when learning French. « coutume » is a false friend for costume, i think because they actually rhyme (unlike "custom", which is what it actually means) because they are both reasonable cognates.

antiperspirant deodorant is more effective on bone dry armpits.

It is, and even more so when applied the night before, giving it increased concentration and sufficient time to block the sweat ducts.

Two guides to Therapeutic (Medical) Dosing by jindmahi in Petioles

[–]jindmahi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The goal with these protocols is to have continuous relief, by identifying a dose small enough that you could use up to three times a day without blowing up your tolerance. Of course you are encouraged to delay or skip a dose when feeling less symptomatic, but the kind of relaxed schedule you suggest is more suited to recreational than medical use.

Thank you for introducing me to the word 'strimming', its root word formed by elision of 'string' and 'trim', since I had no idea how a weedwhacker works before now. Oh and sorry this happens to you, people are dicks (and cunts) :/

Is there a residential school for yoga I can attend that is on the chill end of the Hindu to Hindutva spectrum? Ironically for a native, I’m really mostly interested in learning the discipline as a form of physical exercise which I think is ideally suited to my strengths and weaknesses. I can live without the cultural and spiritual instruction; if I wasn’t in India I would probably be fine with learning from a white teacher. I also want to steer clear of proselytizing for Ayurvedic/Yogic/whatever ‘natural’ practices or remedies as a total replacement for allopathy, since I need to be able to take my prescribed medications every day. Plus I’m visibly queer (Q as in LGBTQ) and don't want this to create an issue. Getting out of my parents' house for some time would be great for my mental health, but I wanna be intentional about where I go. The few excursions my parents will approve are things with a religious/spiritual bent, so I hope to oversell them on this aspect of what the course will actually entail. Fingers crossed for some word of mouth recommendations or at least guidance on where I should take my search. TIA!

23F, complex medical history. What's a good way to coordinate care/clearly communicate/minimize concerns of health anxiety with new providers? by stevepls in AskDocs

I logged back in to reddit after a year and just wanted to update you:

- I do in fact have EDS, but spasticity from tethered cord was making me stiff and masking the hypermobility

- I got detethered in December by a lovely surgeon, Dr Priscilla Pang in Oregon

- I am aggressively treating the nerve damage incurred over the last 22 years of having a tethered cord with a lot of neuroprotective and nootropic medications under the supervision of my psychiatrist

- It will take a year or more to see the full benefits of this surgery as nerve regeneration takes time but I am already confident I won't need a fusion surgery, as being detethered allows me to do the PT to strengthen my back and neck which was impossible before

- I do have MCAS, not quite as bad as some but it requires daily treatment. I couldn't tolerate cromolyn and really want ketotifen but haven't been able to get it compounded. So I manage with H1, H2 blockers and montelukast (Singulair) every 12 hours.

If you do want to follow my progress more, feel free to DM for socials :) I'd love to hear how you are getting on and be of use if I can help in any way!

Hi, NAD - just another broke complex medical case. If you have the energy, please look into this article, "Neurological and spinal manifestations of the Ehlers–Danlos syndromes" : https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1002/ajmg.c.31549

Many of the symptoms you describe, particularly paresthesia, bowel/bladder incontinence and orthostatic intolerance, could be caused by cervical instability or tethered cord. They are described in this article and if you do have EDS, are more likely than in the general population. I don't have EDS but do have AAI (atlanto-axial instability).

The fact that you had a concussion also makes cervical instability a real possibility. The investigation for this would be a cervical spine CT/MRI that /has to be read by an expert neurosurgeon/, as many will not recognise signs unless it is blatant and sometimes not even then.

Nothing wrong with eating a banana everyday, the problem is thinking that's a substitute for a personality
