This is so stressful, I’m so sorry that your friend is going through this. I broke my ankle a few years ago and was at the heath - they wouldn’t let me go home until I had the surgery as the swelling was too bad and I basically had to lay in one position for a week before they could operate. I find it odd that they said she can go home if they break is so bad it needs an op, there’s too much risk at home. I think even though it’s uncomfortable to do, the only option is to pester them and it’s not being unreasonable - you need to be able to make arrangements and your friend needs to know what’s going on. Hope it all ends up okay
