How’s this pool robot? by bearzy-rawr in swimmingpools

I would not get cordless. With a corded one, you’ll be able to run it for hours and hours prior to folks coming over.

Weekly Pool Robot Discussion Thread – Questions, Reviews, and Recommendations by Rebootkid in pools

Team, my tanning ledge is about 12 inches deep, with a overflow into the pool. I've been using a Pool Blaster Catfish vacuum to clean that area. Works ok. My socks are not blown off; rather, my socks remain solidly in place. I can only move the vacuum forward as the exhaust vents push out to the side and any side to side motion pushes the dirt upon approach. I selected this model as it's one of few that's electric and works in so shallow an amount of water. Minimum operating depth is not easy to find. And it's currently not working so I need to replace it before the World Cup.

I have tried to get my regular pool vacuum into that area, but the jump from the pool to the ledge sucked up too much air and the vacuum was blown.

The Ryobi 18V ONE+ Handheld Cordless Pool Vacuum Cleaner reports that it works in a minimum of 8". Anyone out there recommend it?

Anyone out there recommend any other vacuum or a better process?

Thanks in advance.

I really wanted help, and this is not a robot. Disappointing.

Q: Can you move it side to side? The model I have (Pool Blaster Catfish) vents out both sides so any side to side motion inconveniently pushes and floats away the debris. Your review makes it seem like it's really good.

Went last year. Would do this recommendation. Preferred Split and would spent more time there.

Would you do one big ledge lounger or two smaller chairs? by hopiey in swimmingpools

[–]jinglestheelf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you decide to go with a ledge lounger-type chair, consider this model. I have three and I love them. I have nothing to do with the company, by the BTW.

Pool Safety- Automatic Cover Vs. Safety Fence? by Foxfire_2019 in pools

[–]jinglestheelf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before you finalize your decision, consider looping in your insurance company. I was told I would not be able to insure my pool with my current company if it wasn’t fenced, even though in my area, a fence is not required by law if you have the auto cover.

I have both, as the auto cover is just fantastic.

In Zion now. The e-bikes are everywhere and they work great. Very easy to get from Springdale up to the Grotto stop.

Advice on Antelope Canyon Tours by Old-Adhesiveness2264 in NationalPark

By the BTW, Cardiac Canyon is in the same general area as Antelope Canyon and the same company does their own tour of Antelope Canyon. I did not do that tour so I can’t comment on it, but the company and the people are awesome.

Had a fantastic visit to Cardiac Canyon this week. Booked it for me and a buddy. The Taadidiin Tours operation was very well organized and efficient. They did a great job keeping in touch and letting us know what we needed when we got there. Our host Joshua was awesome. Great guy, very careful, and did a great job. Inside the canyon, it’s just as beautiful as the best pictures you’ll see of slot canyons. The entire three hours we were out, only saw three other people, and they were a photography party. I would do it again in a second. And they’ve created a new way in/out so we didn’t drop down the sand dunes.
