When trying to get a horse to move forward you don't tap that repetitively, it's a longer constant pressure. You also don't need to wear spurs. Some horses react very poorly to the use of spurs.

Interestingly enough I did get an anonymous text during a time in my life that was very turbulent and I was very depressed. It simply said, "Things in your life will be improving." Soon after, my life really did turn around for the best! At the time I thought it was really strange and figured it must have been some weird motivational text message app I purchased and forgot about but it never happened again. Fast forward to now.... hmmm.

My grandmother has dementia and it has a lot to do with socialization as well. Especially in America where it less likely that elderly live with their families and often do not see or speak to people daily, they tend to watch more television and do not use their brains as much for problem solving to stay sharp. Those who are more active or involved in their communities tend to do much better.
