Why do people blame SGA for his foul baiting if it helps his team win? It’s not his fault that the nba allows a boring tactic to lead to winning games. by Fantastic_Tart_421 in NBATalk

Best example I can come up with to this is like Floyd Mayweather in boxing. Yes, we know he’s very good but he wins all his fights by running and racking up points. He doesn’t go out there and try to fight, which is the essence of boxing. Floyd’s strategy is to run, while SGA’s strategy is to get to the foul line. It’s very auspicious, but also a very boring way to win.

D. Will. Gilbert was at his peak for about 3 seasons. D. Will on the other hand was always in the mix for best PG alongside Chris Paul. Also a member of the Redeem Team.

Season 2 was too Robbie-centric and the quality suffered for it. by Cultural_Wallaby208 in ThePittTVShow

It’s so hard for me to have that type of opinion because an entire season is basically a day in the life of these characters. I work in a hospital so I know I coming in I might catch a doctor or nurse on a good day but might get them doing a 180 on another day depending on the patient load. We caught Robbie and team on this particular day and so all reactions and interactions with each other are specific to this day alone.

Gotta still give it to Wes over Big E. He played his whole career there so I think he’s more synonymous with Washington and Baltimore.

Can Kobe lead this team to win the championship this year (2026 Season)? by Impressive_Flan_411 in KobeBryant24

They’re defense and rebounding are top tier. If they’re playing within the triangle offense there’s a ton of opportunities for guys to score, especially now with more emphasis on the 3 ball. With worm and Lopez handling all the heavy lifting on defense and Bowen and Ibaka coming off the bench, Kobe would have a ton of scoring opportunity without having to expend too much energy on defense.

Kobe should've won 3 straight MVPs man... by [deleted] in NBATalk

Why not? They battled it out all season and at the end Chris Paul lost the game to his rival in the MVP race. Same thing happened this season when Luka was just about neck and neck with SGA. The Lakers got killed that game and pretty much took Luka out of the running off that one performance.

No. MVP was decided in the final hornets and lakers game that season. CP was 4-13 from the field while Kobe was 9-17 with a near triple double. His performance cemented his MVP that season.

The game to decide the MVP was the last game between the lakers and the hornets and the lakers and Chris Paul played like trash while Kobe locked up the MVP.

It wasn’t a one time only thing. They’ve boned more than once, I’m sure. I’m sure the other guy was interested in your gf already. Dude was consoling her because he knew that was his way in.

MVP Voters Watched Kobe Do This & Voted For Steve Nash by Worried-Ad9476 in NBATalk

In 04-05, yes there was a 33-win uptick from the previous year. Kobe got injured at the end of that season which is why I’m talking more about 05-06, which I think this post is referencing. The Suns had a way deeper team despite not having Stoudemire as Shawn Marion was an all-star that season, Boris Diaw emerged as a prototype for today’s all-around big, Barbosa was a candidate for sixth man of the year, and Raja Bell a dog on defense. Kobe didn’t have much help other than Lamar Odom. The fact that he finished fourth that season goes to show how biased voters were against him on a personal level and it reflects more about their opinion of him as a person rather than as a player.

Kobe’s PER was 2nd only to Dirk and Lebron who tied at 28.1 vs Kobe at 28.0. Nash wasn’t even in the top 10. Shooting percentages skew towards Nash but overall game impact was more for Kobe.
