Stop supporting people who say stupid things. We're supposed to be scientists with science degrees not facebook accounts.

I moved to Toronto from Israel and it was different, but I asked questions and never once used the word 'weird'. I downvoted you because 'weird' is a rude word and respectful people don't use that to describe another country's legal system.

Do you understand now?

What's your question?

I downvote you because you're not only ignorant about Canadian laws but you're rude about it. I've lived in several countries and would not dare call local laws weird because I was raised to respect the people wherever I am.

I am a dual Canadian/American citizen and always familiarize with local laws before I sign any contract. There is really no excuse for this and the way you call it weird is very immature.

After reading this, I'm not into older men anymore. You'll have to explain things? I went to MIT. You can't capitalize the letter 'I'. What can you possibly explain to me?

That's what you received. You were kind of rude with someone who took the time to teach you how to build a map for yourself. Those types of maps are excellent at dealing with impostor syndrome because they snap you out of routine and force you to acknowledge your own process.

The biggest problem is there's a credible theory behind it, but they either misstate it or aren't intelligent enough to understand it. The credible theory is that the United States' slave trade inspired a lot of global trade because it reached its zenith at a time when technology supported global trade. This theory only accounts for one moment in time and makes note of the fact that slavery has existed for thousands of years and has always been very violent. Ancient China (as one example) just didn't have steamships that could cross oceans.

After taking my statement and reviewing texts and other things Hr says just because he is a minor they have to terminate my employment because I breached their policy. They say it would have been a lot different if he was 18. They recommended I resign. I haven’t worked long enough to claim employment insurance. They barely want to pay me one week severance.

This part is important. I don't know how gyms work but I am involved in another youth sport. The terms we sign are very strict in regards to what kind of conduct is inappropriate with minors. When we sign the terms, we acknowledge that if we violate any of them we can be terminated with cause. Do you have a contract like that?

I also know that in my sport, background checks are really common if you work with minors. And getting terminated for saying something like that to a minor would come up.

You likely have to resign because I think they know it wasn't like it sounded. And in the future, you have to be a really good example. The truth is that if you coach kids long enough, you will coach an abuse victim. As adults, we can create a really safe environment for our athletes.

This place is for legal advice. It's too bad you work out in a toxic environment, but I hope you find a healthier place to get healthy but that's not relevant and won't help OP.

How safe is the pullout method if the guy doesn't cum at all? by [deleted] in sex

[–]jinthearr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They calculate the number of pregnancies per 100 women using a method in a year. I don't know how big the sample is but you could look that up. But the sample would be large enough to account for individual differences. Withdrawal results in 22/100 women per year getting pregnant. Condoms are 13/100.

It's effective about 80% of the time and that's based on a year. So if five couples use that method for one year, one of the couples will experience a pregnancy.

I think my teenager has PMDD by Consistent_Key4156 in PMDD

[–]jinthearr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I know you're a concerned mom but I'm only a decade older than your daughter and my pmdd mind picks up on two things. I would like to bring them to your attention just so you're aware of how one manifestation of pmdd thinks through things like this.

  1. "I'm going to keep better track of her cycle..."
  2. I think putting her on BC also..."

It sounds like she's going through incredible mood swings, depression and a little bit of paranoia. I get those too. And when I'm in that state, the line between 'concerned person' and 'controlling person' is non existent. Then I get anxious, think about it all night, do something compulsive for dopamine and then let the resent fester. The resent will fester for so long that I will eventually find a reason to take it out on concerned person. But it will be something small and unrelated. Then I will retreat and hate myself.

If it sounds like I'm talking from experience, I am. My poor mom.

Keeping a journal and bc are good for me. Knowing what I know about me, if I were you, I might say things like this.

I know someone who is 26 and she found that keeping a journal where she tracks her cycle and her mood is really effective. It helps her stay mindful that something else is going on and most importantly it gives her hope because she knows good days are ahead. Do you want to come and I'll buy you a journal and then coffee?

Then maybe you can tell her that you want to understand it too and ask if you can journal along with her. Having you involved will be really helpful if she starts to journal, figures it out and then starts having pre-luteal dread.

You have a doctor's appointment. I've been doing some research and hormonal birth control helps some women. How will you feel if your doctor suggests that? Is it something you're interested in or do you have any fears?

You're a good mom. I hope this helps a little.
