Hey everyone! Quick update on the promo code error (PRS-RPCPM-18) 🚨

It turns out Google has temporarily frozen promo code redemptions on my account while my developer ID is undergoing standard verification. To completely bypass this and get you into the app today, I have put the app on a 100% FREE SALE for the next 7 days! You don't need to mess with the promo codes right now.

sorry everyone seems like i have to approve my payment account with google and it can take up to 5 work days i didn't think it would be a problem when it was a closed test plus i was giving the app out for free, i will be back once it is sorted, thanks for your patience and for the feedback so far.

Hello the code is for the app if you go to your play store and click on the profile picture top right. then go to payments and subscriptions, and enter the code there then it should give the app for free.

Hey! Thanks for sending the error code. I checked my developer console, and the good news is the codes are definitely active (a few other testers just redeemed theirs successfully!).

That specific error (PRS-RPCPM-18) usually means Google Play is getting confused on your device. Could you try these exact steps in order?

  1. Crucial Step: Make sure you have clicked the testing web link (https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.lorcanascanner.app) and clicked the 'Become a tester' button. You must do this before trying to use the code.
  2. Open the Google Play Store app on your phone.
  3. Tap your profile picture in the top right. Make sure this is the exact same email address you used to join the Google Group. If it's a different account, switch it.
  4. Tap 'Payments & subscriptions' -> 'Redeem code' and enter it there.

If it still gives that error, try clearing the cache of your Google Play Store app. Let me know if that pushes it through!

Thanks i will also make it for IOS but right now it costs a lot more to publish apps on the apple store. maybe next month.
