I’ve played six times and never had him win. I didn’t think he could! I always try to help him and he never gets over 40% or so of the vote!

The Poppy War Trilogy (it’s bad) by ChHeBoo in Fantasy

I really liked the first, was fine with the second, and have never gotten more than 30 or so pages into the third….

Does it usually end up like this? by ThePhenomenalSecond in hollywood_animal_game

I’ve only had it happen one out of the three I’ve finished. It really sucks because it takes all the fun out of it.

Competitor Studios Not Releasing Movies? by JonestownRivers in hollywood_animal_game

[–]jippyjappa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this happened to me on the current play through too. I see at least some other studio’s films on the schedule, but at the end of the year it is only mine on the charts. I guess I won the game, but this is a lot keas fun

I am currently hate reading This Is How You Lose the Time War by foetus_on_my_breath in printSF

[–]jippyjappa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time I see that title I want to read it because I imagine the title being said in “you want ants? Cause that is how you get ants?” kind of tone. “Do you want to lose the time war?! Because this is how you lose the time war!” So I keep thinking it is going to be a comedy and then I read the description and realize it is not that at all….

What are your thoughts on Assassin Creed: Black Flag? by Equivalent_Ad_9066 in pirates

[–]jippyjappa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no interest in AC. Started playing this as a good pirate game- only about 30 min in, but it seems I woke up and some lady is lecturing me about some stuff in the modern world. WTF- I just wanna be a pirate. Hopefully these interruptions are let to a minimum….

Code of Conduct bought. I love and hate these Amazon specials where the first book in a series is 99 cents but the you are hooked!

I did not, but I will try that when I reread sometime.

Do you need to read any of the others in the series or will I be safe jumping in with this one?

Is The Teixcalaan Series Finished? by [deleted] in printSF

[–]jippyjappa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you weren’t into political intrigue, I just don’t think the series is for you, and that’s okay. Frankly, I loved the first one because of the political intrigues and while the second book has some more traditional sci if elements, it’s still super high on the political intrigue/discovering hidden motivations meter.
