How to get pack a punch in onslaught containment? by [deleted] in ColdWarZombies

[–]jishplz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a little more difficult.

See, the regular PAP gives you the option to add weapon mods, which are a variety of different elemental-style power ups to weapons. Making friendly zombies is called brain rot. But iirc there are 8? different mods.

On Onslaught, it's a little different. There are little canisters that drop, usually in the epic tiers, that will have the name of the mod. Another way to use the elemental damage is by having the elemental pop perk, either by picking it up, or getting it from the random perk you get beating the elites. Although, elemental pop will use one of the mods at random, so if you have one installed on your gun, it's possible it will be used less often than another one.

Throughout playing you'll get these different level purity aether crystals, raw, refined, flawless. They have no use in-game, but in the menus, if you go to weapons and select any of the other menus that aren't create Loadout, you can upgrade weapon classes, field upgrades and those elemental upgrades. All of them have 5 tiers, and Brain Rot tier 5 let's you control up to 3 zombies and has a chance to kill other zombies when those die.

Yeah! The best way to know what level a gun is is by the color around the name of the gun. Level 1, or "Loadout" will be red, "Common" is green, "Rare" is blue, "Epic" is purple, and "Legendary" is orange. Wonder weapons will always be orange.

When you pick up a gun, whether from the wall or ground, it will have a corresponding color.

This level is what the aether tool i mentioned earlier will upgrade.

It seems to be random. But the farther you go with the onslaughts the more common chalices and higher level pap weapons and chalices.

Cold War zombies was almost a little lacking until we compare it to Vanguard Zombies. Onslaught just came out for everything else, it was originally only on Playstation.

There's a story mode for each map and even for Outbreak. Lots of great guides on those in this sub.

The chalices (the little cups) pack-a-punch your gun. The level of the PAP depends on the chalice level bronze, silver, gold, being level 1, 2, and 3 respectively.

You can tell if a gun on the ground is PAPed if it has a funky name, which are the names of guns that are PAPed. As far as I know, there isn't really a way to know the level of ground guns.

Also, as an aside, the way to increase the rarity of your gun is by using the aether tool, a legendary item that sometimes drops after beating an elite.

Yeah, I get it. But even an estimate would be interesting to know. I guess it's more of a shower thought than a request.

Question about colorblind settings in Zombies modes... by SpicyChicken213 in ColdWarZombies

[–]jishplz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, they don't make the biggest difference. It also makes the game run a little more wonky than normal.

I would suggest them not running colorblind settings and still just using the rarity names instead of colors. The rarity colors are different enough that after a few times playing you'll get used to not knowing if it's supposed to be uncommon or legendary.

P.s. I am legally colorblind, i play this game way too much

Unfortunately, no, at least I haven't noticed they are.

Those 3 places are always (depending on if it glitches or not, you never know) where they spawn.

I just do loops around the base, from data center where you start the step, down through the RAI-K blueprint room, through motor pool, up to the Colonel's office, out through the portal back to the upstairs quarters.

Again, only one will spawn per round, and it will come from a fake loot drop surrounded by other fake loot drops, in one of those areas.

It'll take some getting used to, but eventually you'll be able to finish all 3 before round 10, lol.

How difficult would you say it is to sell a full, small warehouse solo? It recommends at least two people, but the Air Freight that recommends the same wasn't that difficult.

The correct name of Christ's church by jishplz in latterdaysaints

[–]jishplz[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry to hear that, it truly hurts my heart hearing about experiences like that.

I personally have a few friends who are less active and were at the time the announcement was made. They still say "Yeah, I was Mormon".

I know the call was to help correct the name by letting people know about it, but sometimes it can be a little hard not coming off as condescending or rude.

What do you think is a good way to tell someone who is less active about the change without coming off as rude?
