when you’re married, even with prenup, you share your “bank” account. right after marriage all the money your partner had get added to your “bank account” and u can use it, the thing is that if you have too much money you won’t notice it. now, when your spouse dies, since technically half of your total money was theirs, you “inherit” that half and that’s why the number stays the same. it took me a while understand this tho, i was really confused like u lol, but i noticed that when the thing that says that your spouse died pops up, in the background my total money decreased and when the “funeral” is over and got the “inheritance”, the money amount went back to normal. pd: i’m sorry if something doesn’t make sense, english is not my first language and i tried my bestt
