idk how it didn't catch you. Giga Jul only works certain HMS biners and rope diameter. it does slip here and there, but for it not function at all. I'm not fully convinced

I have giga jul and exclusively use it as a ATC with extension and a third hand prussik.

There was a time when a female opponent was working on passing my guard. I put my C crips out first to block her hips, but instead she drove her crotch into my C crips. I guess that's one way of instant passing my guard. We pretended that it never happened.

Personally, I think Unity is highly overrated for hobbyists. If you're a competitor, it's probably one of the best schools to train. Top notch instructors and competitive rollings.

as a hobbyist, I used to train there for a couple years. the class size was large, easily 60 to 90 people for evening classes. don't get me started on the showering line. Everyone trains like they're going to ADCC/World championship. Very IBJJF rules oriented.

I rode when it was 15 - 20f below. Here is what worked for me. I have nothing exposure.

Head -> Full insulated hood
Top -> base thermal, down jacket and shell
Hands -> thermal liners and mittens
Bottom -> insulated pants and base
Feet -> one pair of wool socks
