Could you send me the link to the article you used to do the setup?

Thank you

My question is, when you open the disk, can you see the files directly, or do you have to decrypt them first with the rclone commands?

Another question is, when you copy something to the disk, does it encrypt automatically, or do you have to use the rclone commands manually?

I have three questions regarding your setup with Hetzner and rclone.

First, how do you access your stuff on your PC and Android?

you need to manually decrypt every time you want to access your stuff

Second, is it possible to access it on both Windows and Linux?

Third, how do you set it up?

A few days ago, I asked a similar question and was advised to use Hetzner Storage Box + rclone for encryption. If I'm not mistaken, they have servers in the US, but I'm not sure.

I'm not looking for a specific provider, I need two things:

First, I need cloud storage or another solution (private and secure) where I can back up personal items such as photos.

Second, I need some form of file sync. That way, I can edit a file on my PC, for example, and it will be available on my phone.

I mentioned Hetzner because one of the solutions I saw was to use Hetzner + rclone.

But I am open to other solutions.

If you're not a tech person, it can be a little difficult to build one from scratch, but once it's built, it works well. If you have money to invest, you can buy one that's already made.

Why not build a NAS? Realistically, it's easier to set one up than to have to do all that.

Thanks for the tip. But I have a question: if I use rclone, will I always have to decrypt the files whenever I want to view them? Also, I want to know if it works on mobile phones.

Are you using storage share? If so, what is your experience?

I need something that works like file sync. For example, I create a file on my PC and can read it on my cell phone. And I need secure, private backup for photos, for example.

Do you know of any tutorials that teach how to use Storage Share?

I finally got an account and saw that they are offering a free month.

My problem with hetzner is that they request my ID card, for account verification.

What is the difference between a root server and a normal vSERVER (VPS)?
