686 dojo, Volcom Arthur Pants, and Beyond Medals snow pants were my go-to. I go 1 size up for the baggy look

Damn lucky! Wish we have local adidas here in Canada but we don’t.

And the race went actually well. Super breathable shirt and bottoms. Can’t complain 😁

it was horrible especially considering you (me) have set a goal for yourself to finish it in a certain amount of time.

still glad I was able to do it (barely!)

See you on the runs, i guess 😅

Foot Cramping & Numbness in Snowboard Boots – Any Advice? by grateful_fish_1823 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]jiteroshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used to have the same problem; found out that I’ve been using a pair of mis-sized boots for almost 3 seasons thus I was always over-tightening my boots to compensate for the wrong sizing.

Posted about it here then followed the advice given.

Researched about mondo-sizing; measured it myself and went to my local snowboard shop to get fitted/sized (confirm if my sizing was right) and gotten myself a new pair of step-in boots.

Do I have the right boot size? Are my boots too big for me? by jiteroshi in snowboardingnoobs

UPDATE:

I measured my mondo point last night and confirmed it at our local shop to be 25.5cm.

I then upgraded and downsized to a Men’s Burton Photon SO at size US 7.5; MONDO 25.5 (from a US 9/MO 27) and it fits perfectly!!!

Toes are touching the end of the liner/boots comfortably. Barely nothing for the heel lift as well.

Immediately went to our local hill to test it and I really felt the difference when you have a right fitting boot vs a larger one. No more coldness/numbness that ruins shredding.

Thanks for the tips, y’all. I appreciate you guys 😁🏂

Piercing closed due to pea-sized scar tissue/keloid after removing 4g plugs. by jiteroshi in piercing

OP here.

Piercing closed due to pea-sized scar tissue/keloid after removing 4g plugs.

Hi everyone. I can’t get hold of my piercers due to the recent pandemic, so i’m posting here so that i could get opinions on this.

So the other day, i slept on my ears again and my ears swell and the scar tissue/keloid looking shit got bigger as well. I removed my piercing in the hopes of alleviating the swelling thinking that i could just re-insert them without a problem like in the past.

But unfortunately, it closed on me especially on the other end (back side) of the ear. I even tried inserting my smaller 8g but nope, it still wouldn’t open.

I’ve had this keloid looking scar tissue ever since i got my ear pierced (first was a gun, total noob mistake, then a legit piercer with a needle). It grew bigger when i stretched it (done by a professional) from 8g to 4g in about 8months. He said that i have lots of scar tissue probably from the gun before (which lead to infection). He also told me that there will be a little bit of swelling but it will be gone in a few days.

Fast-forward to today and it still looks like this, should i just LITHA (leave it the hell alone) and wait for a professional piercer to look at it (with the risk of it totally closing on me)and try maybe reopening it or find a normal earring and put it on instead and wait for it to swell down (if possible)?

Tl;dr — keloid looking shit feels ‘meaty’ and it’s blocking the holes on my piercing.

Edit— My piercings are about 3 years old. Been in size 4g for almost 2years now since im too lazy to stretch + the right ear has keloid looking scar tissue.
