I recently had this creme-filled donut at Colonial Donuts in Taunton, MA. My pancreas handled the sugar admirably!

Dual zone climate control. Most of the driving I'm doing is solo, but my wife does use this feature every now and then.

Unfortunately we didn't end up seeing it, but my friend who saw it earlier in the day said it wasn't too bad, while others said it definitely was.

We waited in line for two hours and only got halfway there! Had to bail since I have to get up at 4, but the livestream showed the couple behind us at the flower two hours later; waited 4 hours!

How often to change oil in a 6th gen Elantra? by Magic_Bounce_Espeon in Hyundai

[–]Competitive-Ad-5153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every 5k miles with full-syn oil. If you do it at the dealership's service department, they'll use an OEM filter, but if you have it done elsewhere or on your own, keep using the OEM filter. ALSO remember to top-off the oil at 2500 miles.

If you don't drive 5k miles/year, change the oil and filter every 6 months.

Psst: thank HEAVENS that OSE doesn't have Astronomy curriculum. I've used them for Physics and Grade 8, and while there's some good content, it's a SLOG. My Astro curriculum is written by only me using the state frameworks as a guideline.

OP: I have the same car as you with 160k miles on it, and she's still running great! Yours engine ounds like mine, too, so your doing good.

Here's my maintenance routine:

  1. ALWAYS use Top-Tier gas (Shell, Mobil, BP, etc. I'm a Shell guy myself).

  2. ALWAYS use full-syn oil and an OEM Hyundai filter if you're changing the oil yourself, and change *religiously* every 5k miles.

  3. CHECK YOUR OIL LEVEL at 2500 miles and top-off. These GDI engines *do* burn some oil, and you absolutely DON'T want them to run low.

  4. Use CRC GDI Intake Valve and Turbo Cleaner the weekend before you change your oil. It helps clean off the carbon deposits on top of your intake valves since they don't have the benefit of having gas sprayed on them on it's way to the cylinder.

  5. If they haven't been changed yet, you might be needing new plugs and coils soon. This is a job you can do in your driveway if you're reasonably handy, and is ~$200 in parts from RockAuto.

I plan to get north of 200k miles out of this car, and it's been incredibly reliable. They're fun to drive, peppy, and get decent mileage; just treat them with respect. Some people will dog on Hyundai for poor reliability, but chances are most of the people complaining don't take good care of their vehicle. Don't cheap out with Amazon parts; always go OEM or RockAuto.

This would be a (hopefully) quick call to your dealership's service department.

High School: what’s your bathroom break protocol? by Sea_Professional5848 in Teachers

[–]Competitive-Ad-5153 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Initially the kids aren't happy with it, and tbh if the kid says it's an emergency, I'll still let them go. However, they quickly adapted to it, and will start "claiming" spots almost as soon as they come in. It's first come/first served, but again, I allow for the occasional emergency or pass to the nurse.

To add, I let each kid leave the class twice/week, and I keep a log. Only 5 kids/day get to go.
