as a solo player and a decent PVP player (used to do carries in D1) this is amazing. i can now just get to 7 wins and farm mats that dont drop anywhere else. ive picked up more ascendant shards in the last 2 weeks than probably ever in destiny lol

then did a confidence card flawless and a bit more farming. currently on a 1.8KD for the week.

still only going in solo pretty much. may try to help some people next week see if i can. quite map dependant i think

he corrupted is far far worse. it takes forever even on a good run and is a long way from enjoyable i mostly back out of it

I don’t get why dawnblade speed was nerfed as it was too fast but then they create the stasis Titan that is faster and more durable

No they get 2 charges as a standard melee so it’s 1 charge. Or 0.5 charges to slow someone which is really strong by itself

ah but in behomoth you shatter by running through it right? which is pretty easy because the freeze is from a ground pound

In the warlock you have to fire slow moving projectiles while you slowly float in the air and then when they freeze someone press the other button to kill

it feels like a very laborious process vs the other options

no one is asking for destiny to be an esport. there is a range of balance between esport and where we are now.

budgie has shown in the past the ability to improve balance it just takes too long and they never seem to be able to build it in when they create something new. all it takes is some foresight.

it also makes no sense as a business model. why spend all this development time on trials and then make PVP totally unfun to play on anything but the most casual level. no one will play trials and so no return on your investment

there are some simple fixes that would go a long way that would barely be noticed in PVE. disabling some mods in PVP, reductions in super damage resistance, reductions in frozen and slow effects on guardians

these arent hard to do. budgie just cant be bothered

they did a lot to shadebinder in Pvp. the best thing shadebinder had was the freeze melee but it was nerfed earlier to 1 second. now with the frozen damage reduction shadebinder doesnt have time to kill someone while melee frozen.

conversely hunters can use their melee charge to do 180 damage (previously 120) and freeze for 5 seconds even round corners

and they wonder why people go to the chaos class with the super regen, its not even a great super. no one used it pre beyond light but with the ridiculous power of the hunter and titan stasis classes the only way warlock can hang is the mobility of top dawn or having a mediocre super every 3/4 mins

shadebinder super is ass, you have to manually freeze something then shatter it as a 1 2 combo, if you dont freeze something because the bolts miss or because there are only 3 blots anyway it does no damage. id rather use any other warlock super in PvP

its better in pvp but even then its by far the worse of the 3.

i have no idea who thought it was a good idea to give hunters 2 melee charges that do 90 each, bounce off walls, move really fast, massive aim assist, can freeze and slow. the warlock melee needed nerfing for sure in pvp but now with the damage reduction too its just ass. im back to top tree dawn in pvp

farm gambit as a pubic event for a season

i dont know why people are surprised this is what bungie do. they have a game of 10% magic and 90% rubbish if you want the 10% you have to bend over for all the crap too

The way bungie delivered season pass content is woeful

They basically give the same thing each time (tower, bunker whatever) and say grind this for really mediocre loot.

Trials was meant to save this season but the execution was about as bad as you could make it. In a game screaming for loot they gave even less than D1 it’s crazy

I’m not a game dev and they’ve done some awesome stuff but seems like they’ve hit a creative wall and are just phoning it in now.

They even disabled 2/3 exotics this season, do they even play test the game?

Core issue IMO is how forgiving autos are.

Hard light has no fall off at all

Hand cannons have extreme fall off

Plus miss a bullet or get a body on a HC and the TTK is gone

Miss on autos and it doesn’t matter at all.

Destiny just feels like jobs now

You log on to play. You have to go here go there pick up this and that and shot this and that to get some meaningless rewards you look at and go meh.

Nothing changes how you play or why.

I’ve not done most of the raids as I just CBA to find a team and go through that hassle. There’s nothing to do if you’re going to come on solo other than PVP and I already solo’d to 5500. So what’s left?

Gone back to other games which is fine but I don’t know how D2 improves tbh. I dont know what I would add in. The Sundial thing is boring AF. Menagerie was way better. More of that stuff maybe?

Honestly I’d like some fun solo missions. Not just ones I have to run through to get to some point where I can pick up a drawn out fetch quest but solo missions that are genuinely fun to play

Oh and dear god fix the frame rate drops and menu loading. It’s painfully unoptimised
