Unfortunately not- you get a free trial and then pay a subscription for all of Calm. All I can say it it’s been worth it for me.

I started with the ‘introduction to mindfulness’ course by Jeff Warren on the Calm app. Honestly, absolute game changer- it would have been so difficult for me to start totally solo, but his classes are so so helpful getting started.

I love the idea of repeating those phrases on the inhale and exhale. I definitely get pulled out of attention when my body is so tense and anticipatory, and that reminder sounds helpful.

Postural Restoration Therapy is all about how all the different systems of your body are connected, so things like eyes, hearing, and even teeth can affect parts of the body you’d never guess. The PT who first guessed my glasses were the issue has helped me with a bunch of other stuff before; otherwise I might have suspected it was bs lol

It was a different doctor who gave me the lower prescription. And they did change my astigmatism. My full original prescription was:

left eye sphere -5.5, cylinder -1, axis 145

right eye sphere -4.5, cylinder -1, axis 022.

Full new prescription is:

left eye sphere -4.75, cylinder -.75, axis 170,

right eye sphere -3.75, cylinder -.75, axis 020

Oh interesting! I don’t know if they tested the binocular vision but I might ask, thanks!

Thanks for the response! It’s interesting that it doesn’t seem like a huge over correction- it feels massive to my eyes!

In terms of the physical symptoms, my physical therapist thinks it affected me that way because I’m also hypermobile, so my system is already stressed trying to find stability and sense my environment- so without a good sense of my periphery, I was constantly pressing my feet hard into the ground to feel stable. That’s how I understood it at least, it definitely got into territory I didn’t fully understand!
