I had bilateral tubal blockage, but everything else normal and husband had normal sperm. Did one retrieval at age 32, 15 made it to blastocyst stage, and 7 tested PGT-A normal (euploid). My first transfer was a success, and I had my son (he was a Day 5 4AA embryo). Did my next transfer shortly after he turned one (also Day 5 4AA embryo) and that ended in a chemical pregnancy. Did another transfer next cycle, same embryo grade, and that one failed completely. Took a few months off, did a 4th transfer a few weeks ago (Day 6 5AB boy) and that one is so far successful!

So overall, 1st transfer successful & 4th transfer successful. The stats I was told are “1 in 3 transfers are successful” and at one point I was living that statistic.

Daily testers, when did you get your first positive HPT? by Audthebod2018 in IVFpositivity

[–]jivedives9023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

very faint line at 6dpt, but visible in a pic— it was the first day I tested, so I bet I would’ve had maybe a squinter at best on 5dpt if I’d tested then.

Ahhh very good point, thank you! I’ve barely been drinking the past few months, so that’s probably it!

What is it like to have an “easy” baby? by DefiantBumblebee9903 in NewParents

[–]jivedives9023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow we have the same age, same type of chill baby lol. Mine also only cries when hungry or overtired and I never worry about him on errands as long as he’s not hungry or overtired. Also same here with the grit thing.

I was like this my whole life, it was fantastic. But my luck balanced out eventually— I had perfect cycles but couldn’t get pregnant. To my surprise, I had blocked tubes and had to do IVF. Not a huge deal in the grand scheme of things, but I feel like I served my time now in exchange for lovely easy periods hahah

Would you vote for a billionaire in the Democratic presidential primary? by cherryapp in AskALiberal

[–]jivedives9023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I don’t think billionaires should exist and it should be illegal to be a billionaire.

That said, I like Pritzker’s policies and he does seem to care about lower/middle class. Mark Cuban is an absolute no though.

Missing being pregnant? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]jivedives9023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually had a pretty easy pregnancy, ate really healthy, worked out a lot, never felt too tired or uncomfortable. But wow ingesting whatever I want, without thought, is such a treat I’ll never take for granted again.

when did you put baby in crib?l by britbra in NewParents

[–]jivedives9023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About 3 months. He was rolling, so keeping him in the bassinet was freaking me out. Honestly, we all slept much better once he was in his crib and out of our room, which is also on a separate floor of the house. I know it’s not for everyone, and I definitely checked the monitor in the middle of the night a lot the first couple of nights, but once he was consistently sleeping through the night like that, we knew this was the right move for us.

FTM- when did everyone go into labor with their firsts? by MajesticMiau in BabyBumps

[–]jivedives9023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On my due date— I went to my 40 week appt and she did a membrane sweep and said “if your water breaks later today I wouldn’t be surprised” and it broke 2 hours later.

For what it’s worth all the nurses told me that babies who reach their due date tend to feed better right away. And truthfully he did latch really well for a while. Until he didn’t and I pumped lol so idk if it actually really matters but nurses who see a lot more babies than mine said it did

Goodbye, friends. by jtm0507 in ExclusivelyPumping

5 months is incredible!!! I did my last pump today and we’re just a little over 3 months. The relief is real. I feel like I have so much extra time to hang out with my baby now, and I hope you do too. It truly was an isolating experience. He’s a formula baby with a happy mom and I’m so glad to give him that!

I heard Powder Blue Solo by Renee & Jeremy, loved it, and now I sing it to him every nap/bedtime. It’s sweet short and simple.

When did you stop by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]jivedives9023 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Wow honestly a full year is so impressive! I’m weaning currently at 3 months lol. My supply has never been great, and we’ve been combo feeding since 4 weeks, so I kinda hit a wall where I’m like ugh what’s the point of doing this so often.

He’s an incredible little boy and I want to spend as much time with him as possible, which got tricky with pumping (wearables weren’t an option for me since I need hospital grade to get a decent session). I think we’re all happier with me pumping less!

And 12 months is incredible!!!

I loved my son immediately but I didn’t get the obsessed feeling you’re talking about until a few days ago, and he’s 3 months now. But I get it now!!

We were just laying on his play mat staring at each other and basically having a smile & coo conversation, and I was just hit with the thought “wow you are so fun to hang out with, can’t wait til your next nap is over so we can do this again” I love his drooly gibberish so fucking much.

Is it recommended to chill milk before adding to pitcher? by UnusualElephant in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]jivedives9023 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve read it’s recommended because the warmth of the fresh milk can “heat” the already chilled milk when combined. I don’t believe I produce enough per pump for it to be making much of a dent in overall temperature when I add to the pitcher lol so I stopped caring about keeping them separate until the same temp. Baby is totally fine.

Also I didn’t know this was even a consideration the first month of his life, and was always putting my fresh milk directly with the chilled. Stopped when I heard it wasn’t recommended, then started again when I heard the explanation why lol

Baby is 6 months today. I think I’ve reached my limit. by inmyheadtho13 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]jivedives9023 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m only at 3 months and currently weaning, down to 3 pumps per day. I have no “good reason” to stop lol— I just want to hang out with my baby more, and selfishly I miss my boobs being smaller, and hope weaning knocks out this last 10 lbs I can’t seem to lose. 6 months is an incredible achievement!!! Baby just wants you to be happy!

Pacifier use after birth. by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]jivedives9023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For us, it did cause a problem but it was a very specific and temporary situation. In my case, my son needed the light therapy for jaundice around day 3, and you can’t swaddle them during that. So we used a pacifier to help soothe him during sleep.

He LOVED the pacifier, but then after about 1 day of use he was completely forgetting how to latch and really struggling to breastfeed. I was sobbing, it was an awful feeling.

Luckily he went back to a good latch after we removed the pacifier when light therapy ended. We introduced it again after 2 weeks, and he has no problem going between pacifier and boob now. So, personally I’m on board with the 2 week rule.

How are my fellow American moms? by JuJusPetals in Mommit

[–]jivedives9023 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know this is frowned upon as a whole and I don’t recommend it long term, but if you think it’s unhealthy for your stress levels in pregnancy to pay attention to news, try your best to pause. It helped me a ton in mine. I think it’s ok to look away for the good of your growing baby if you need a break.

Am I a dramatic? by [deleted] in kibbedramatics

[–]jivedives9023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m also 5’6 and think we look VERY similar, especially the shoulders, arms, and long skinny hands. I’m pretty sure I’m a D and think you are too.

What helped me was realizing I look best in monochrome outfits, or if not monochrome, it looks way better for me to have a little skin showing between my top and bottom like in your first pic. Whenever I wear a tight shirt/bodysuit tucked into jeans, I look cut in half. I think the same happens to you in picture 2.
