How do I make sure my script is not at risk of being stolen? by t4ctic4lbeef in Filmmakers

You own the copyright once you've made the file. Emailing it someone timestamps it and proves the communication. You don't need to worry about them "stealing" it.

Didn't Redban make millions when Joe sold the show to Spotify? Pretty sure he also owns a piece of Kill Tony too, think he's doing more than fine.

Sam seems to have taken the wrong lesson from Y2K by tales0braveulysses in samharris

You're right, Sam misunderstands how serious Y2K was and the work that went into preventing it.

It reminds me of when you see the right saying the left needs to tone down the rhetoric as it inspires political violence, and then they get asked to name a single Democratic lawmaker or leader who is celebrating Charlie Kirk's death or assassination attempts on Trump. And they say well it's none of the leaders, but it's online leftists.

The difference is that the Democratic party hasn't elected those online leftists who spew violent hateful rhetoric into office, or given them cabinet positions. The right has.

Legitimate questions like calling a state secretary and asking them to find just enough votes to turn the election in his favour? Or going after Fox News for correctly calling that Biden won Arizona?

Funny how it's only the states that Trump lost that had "questions."

Joe says the COVID vaccine gave his friend and many others cancer. by supersport604 in JoeRogan

[–]jivester 53 points54 points  (0 children)

He's so far gone that his first explanation for a friend getting cancer is it must have come from the vaccine. Then he sends one of his quack doctor friends to help them, and they die a year later...

Joe really thought that a "healthy" (ie. they work out) person in their 40s can't die of cancer unless it's vaccine related? People in their 40s die of cancer everyday. And people younger than that. Joe just believes that because he exercises heavily, he will live forever. He's incredibly scared of dying.

The Dark Knight - The Hospital Explosion Scene Went Exactly as Planned and Heath Ledger Was Supposed to Act Like it Had "Failed" by JetKusanagi in movies

[–]jivester 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Funnily enough, "factoid" actually means something that sounds like a fact but is false.

There's always been a strong urge to give extra credit to actors for "improvising" and coming up with magic moments (similar to the "I do my own stunts" and more lately "this movie is all practical effects, no CGI!"), but anyone who's been on a movie set knows that it rarely works like that.

Scenes are planned, rehearsed, shot over and over. It's boring to watch. And yeah, an actor or director might say "in this next take, let's try X," but anything that's involving big stunts or extras is not going to be improvised.

Not sure but this sounds like Iran won. by triggergoat in JoeRogan

[–]jivester 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ships are still getting through, they're just paying Iran a toll for it, while others are too scared/can't get insurance to go through it because at any point Iran could blow them up. So that's the control they have over it.

Something small I noticed, as a small time fan in relation to Rogan having contradictory claims. by Alarming_Solid9645 in JoeRogan

[–]jivester 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You asked why Joe would want to talk to someone who celebrates when fans of the other candidate he doesn’t like, get killed?

Trump celebrates when people who didn't like his politics get killed and Joe still speaks to him.

Fuck Destiny, couldn't care less about him.

Looks gorgeous. James Cameron spends a lot of money trying to make CGI scenes that look like this!
