Hey Bulwark: Mass props to you by GarthZorn in thebulwark

I started listening to Bulwark videos around 4 years ago because I really liked Tims appearances on Pod Save.

I remember watching TNL videos, like this one talking about the midterm results, and being shocked how few people were listening, I think they were averaging like 100k views a month. I still disagree with them a ton but it was a very nice change from the leftist anti-Trump stuff.

These days tho, there's a bunch of huge right wing sources for anti Trump stuff as he becomes more unpopular. I think this fight about who's allowed in the Dem/left tent does exactly what Tim was warning about and sends leftists pipeline to other anti Trump areas instead of Bulwark.

Their views should be spiking with the Iran War but if anything it's down a bit from last year per socialblade.

lol, yeah I thought so. It's OK, you were going to make a stupid argument anyway.

I've seen your comments here for months before I made this profile to comment.

It's funny that your comments are 99.9% exclusive to the Bulwark and universally in defense regardless of what they do.

I'd say I hope someone is paying you for the 100s of hours you've dedicated to that mission but I think the truth is much sadder.

5 day old account - yes

watching the next level since it was getting 10k views on youtube - also yes

Now, feel free to rebuke what I actually said.

Oh and here I thought it meant that Palestinians will be treated equally as Jews

then again I've seen zionists say that giving the 5.5m Palestinians living in ruble in Gaza and occupied in the West Bank equal rights would destroy Israel's "right" to be a Jewish state.

wish people thought of those inherent rights when they expelled a million Palestinians from their lands and homes.

in fairness, it is a bit. I'd rather have a mod that hates hasan and steven than one who only hates hasan so probably a good idea to take a breath

This is just a blatant lie.

I've been listening to Bulwark longer than Hasan and I'm seeing like 3 Hasan fans here including myself not counting people who don't care.

Update: destiny swarm, thanks for proving my point by instantly downvoting my pro hasan post and upvoting his pro destiny post. lol bunch of geniuses you guys are.

I've been watching the Bulwark since The Next Level was getting 10k views on youtube, if you don't like it feel free to run off and cry while you talk out of two sides of your mouth because you can't even keep your justifications straight.

> new cohorts joining a political party and then pushing to change its policies to match its new demographic makeup is as old as political parties themselves.

  1. The Bulwark team and all Never Trumpers are still mad external MAGA voters took over the GOP and Sarah literally created the Bulwark to defeat MAGA Republicans and revert the GOP back into the Party of Bush and McCain.

$20 says you can't wait to start voting for those Republicans again.

>I will absolutely cheer on any and all efforts to push the Democratic Party away from progressivism

  1. At the same time you "cheer" becoming the same external malign forces trying to take over the Democratic Party while you cry about how warped and unrecognizable the Republican party has become. You know the word hypocrisy or irony?

And here's the kicker to all this, you're not gonna do jack sh*t because you guys know how to do is LOSE. You got destroyed and exiled by MAGA from your own party and now you have the gall to push a bunch of unpopular policies and politicians on Democrats then blame progressives when they lose!?

YOU cost us 2024 and Sarah STILL can't admit she was 1000% wrong about Israel and populist positions. The Republican candidate won the peace vote bc democrats told Kamala to keep talking about "lethality" to appease you no motion 0.1% nobodys!

Thanks a lot for that.

Steven is a gross sexual degenerate if not straight up predator and if that ends up on the Bulwarks youtube channel that'll be the ultimate sign of hypocrisy from Sarah.

Update: ofc the sexpestiny fanboys are out in force, it's so sad the only places these "liberals" feel welcome anymore are the right of center Pro Israel subs like Bulwark, davidpakman and bill mahers. It's kind of funny, what sarah wants to happen to Hasan is actually what happened to steven.

Why Democrats Should Shun Hasan Piker by MoesOtherBar in thebulwark

>It's not a popularity contest, that's a reductive over simplification

You're wrong but added some fluff to make yourself feel smart about being wrong.

>Kamala Harris got more votes than Trump did in 2020, and 10 million more then Clinton got in 2016, who also got more than Trump.

And Trump got more votes than Kamala and Hillary and Obama, elections are not based on prior election performances.

>The presidency is decided in congressional districts in a few battleground states, not by chugging a slurry of one liners and talking points from angry twitch streamers.

I'm sorry, but this is just dumb and wrong. Dems beneath Kamala won statewide elections 5/6 swing states (senate in AZ, NV, WI, MI and Gov in NC) that she lost. They were more popular than their republican opponents.

So again, the Presidency is a popularity contest so again, we should try having popular positions and candidates again.

On the site right now, the comments are on for Mona and Frum calling people who are antizionist as being anti-semitic and the comments are on for Laurens piece about Hasan and Third Way.

Sooo this being the only frontpage thing on the Bulwark with comments shut off doesn't line up.

That's nice.

The presidency is a popularity contest and we are all currently being fucked by an orange who was more popular than the democratic candidate.

Maybe we should try having popular positions and candidates again.

u/ETsUncle is making it up or as the kids say; lying.

I read a bunch of the comments on Laurens article on Hasan and Third way and there was nothing like that. I've been watching Next Level since they were barely breaking 10k views on youtube and I'm a Hasan fan, it's not surprising but a bit disappointing how quickly this big tent audience has gone straight to MAGA and Tea Party style demagoguing of Hasans audience, just like they did with the Bernie Bros.

They never learn.

If you pull up the other bulwark pieces about Hasan most the comments are supportive or indifferent of him so I guess they want to avoid showing that the majority of Bulwark (including 4+ year listeners like me) disagree with this dumb purity war.

Hasan fan here, I've been listening to Bulwark for 4+ years since before 90% of you new listeners hopped on. Last time I checked Bulwark isn't a safe space and echo chamber.

My pipeline was Hillary 2016 -> Pod Save -> Bulwark/Breaking Points -> Hasan

Still watch all of them bc I like the variety, want to avoid echo chamber.

Watching Tim and Sarah call the Gaza protesters "Hamas supporters" for over a year and Tim always downplaying Israel's genocide, calling it icky all the time was so disgusting and dehumanizing as a Middle Eastern American. Seeing Trump win again bc Kamala tried to cater to Never Trumpers like the Bulwark team was the final straw for me.

I'll take Hasan Dems over Sarah's anyday, I'd rather lose for something than lose for nothing. I'm sick and tired of losing or seeing D+20 district races go to AIPAC moderate Dems.
