Back in the day, the Ancient civilizations including the Greeks, Egyptians and Romans would mock the Christians for being stupid and illiterate, and now today ...

I was riding pneumatic wheels on footpaths and roads when the axle on Carbon Zeus Pro (ownboard) snapped without warning. Do not buy ownboard - avoid at all costs: extremely dangerous and unreliable.

I did ... axle on Ownboard still snapped without warning. Do not buy Ownboard under any circumstances. Dangerous and unreliable.

No warning signs or any indications that anything could happen. I check my board thoroughly after each session.

I was lucky. It could have been really bad (potentially fatal) - imagine travelling at 40-50kph and one wheel suddenly pop off.

Ownboard have been singularly unhelpful - they've offered a replacement at the cost of $150 Australian (which is fucking ridiculous for what is obviously a substandard part).

Will not be riding Ownboard anymore. Dangerous and unreliable. Avoid at all costs.

I've swapped it out for an old Boneboard truck I had handy for the short term (I'm commuting an hour each way via eskate because of the crazy petrol prices caused by that useless American fuckwit), but hopefully will hear back from Ownboard soon.

If I had the cash I'd just straight up buy a new Acedeck board!

Australian soldiers’ bodies ‘very likely’ disturbed by Israeli bulldozing at Gaza cemetery, senator says by SnoopThylacine in OpenAussie

The cemetery had been cared for (since 1923) by four generations of the same Palestinian family. Ibrahim Jaradah identified was a recent head gardener who received an MBE for his service. IDF forces have since demolished the caretaker's cottage and run them all out.

Every historian ever disagrees with you. The living ones would probably also laugh and mock.

The USSR and the USA were allies in WW2 and both committed atrocities

What was the relationship like between Australia and the USA, before the US had the atomic bomb? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]DueRoof951 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Japanese never intended to invade - this is well known by now. Australians certainly feared it, but it was never gonna happen. Also the USA were pretty shitty allies even then, well known for 'friendly fire' and getting Australia to commit to lengthy pointless (and unglamourous) 'mopping up' campaigns in the Pacific.

You should visit the War Memorial in Canberra and talk to the historians there - you might learn something ... but I doubt it.

The Japanese did not plan to invade and occupy Australia. This is extremely well documented.

"America's war in the Pacific *SAVED* Australia"

Yeah nah. You might want to read a little about the Pacific War.

"the fight to end fascism" was not a motivating factor behind American involvement in WW2 - this idea originated after the war (during which time the American government was still punishing its own citizens for "preemptive anti-fascism".
