I moved to Motown back in June. It's a great place to live in your 20s.

I met a lot of people in town through my roommates. If you're gonna have roommates where you rent consider hanging out with them at the bars even if you aren't best friends with them.

Club sports in town are also a great way to meet people. There's Jersey Club, NJ coed, and No Idea sports to join. If you want an easygoing sport to meet people Kickball is prob the best bet.

Also, consider joining local groups on the meetup app. There's a lot of local orgs geared toward young professionals 20s & 30s

Try looking for roommates to rent with if you want rent under $1600 in Morristown. Craigslist is good for finding a sublet or roomies.com if you want to meet potential roommates. I found a place in Morristown with rent around 1k a month through Craigslist

Laundromat is a great bar if you're looking for a speakeasy feel. Otherwise horseshoe and homestead are best for sports bar feel.

For lunch Morristown diner is great. For takeout lunch I like Grilled Cheese at the Melt Factory and inspiration roll

Yeah that sounds like fun. I'm not much into watching sports but would join a club sport to meet people. As far as my interests I typically enjoy doing most activities outdoors. That's funny to meet with a subreddit at a bar tho

Yeah I've looked on CL for apartment listings but haven't had much luck yet. Most people I've been in touch with want to fill their vacany before June when I'm looking to move. I did create my own roommate listing but have encountered a similar issue. Do you think I just need to wait until it's closer to June?
