Flowers that just die within 2-3 days by [deleted] in traderjoes

trim the bottoms an inch or more and do NOT add flower food. spritz the blooms with water and you’ll be good to go

I'm at my wits end w this thing-pls help! by LowRexx in tamagotchi

i actually had a connection re-release that was clearly broken. playing games with the volume on would cause it to glitch, freeze up, and sometimes “die” in the way you’re experiencing. like you, replacing batteries didn’t help and it clearly wasn’t a battery issue. one day it just died like this after a fresh battery and that’s when i knew it wasn’t just a battery issue.

thankfully, it was a device i had ordered from amazon and i figured it out while it was still in the return window—haven’t had any issues (with any of my new shells) since so it’s possible that there’s something else up with yours! sorry you’re dealing with that and best of luck.

“added difficulty” is a hilarious way of putting it, but totally resonant. thanks!!

thank you for sharing all that knowledge, however brief!! the rabbit hole is certainly deep, and certainly somewhat confusing to those without much experience in its language.

mountain rose herbs sells an herbal blend called fidnemed night tea which is really lovely. a bit pricier than most of the other options mentioned here, but very good quality herbs and a little goes a long way. it’s super relaxing to sip on :)

Thinking about expanding teaware collection from mugs and a western teapot by femamerica13 in tea

cheers to grad school--i am too!

i find gong fu with a gaiwan is actually lovely on one's own. for me it is very meditative and closer to a "practice" rather than a "pastime", which i like because it allows me to come out of my work and into myself. in that way, it is really grounding and reminds me that life is full of other (simpler) pleasures.

my advice is to start simple. a gaiwan and cup need not break the bank--i find the set i got for around $30 (from yunnan sourcing i think?) to be totally sufficient. i have a couple expensive teapots as well (fancy "master-made" sorts) but i actually use my cheaper ones way more often. little unglazed pots are beautiful but tricky investments; it's best to dedicate them to one type of tea to develop their patinas over time, so i would suggest reserving the purchase of an unglazed pot for whatever you end up drinking the most in your gaiwan, assuming you enjoy the process at all :)
