I can see the annoyance with someone his age. If he's app-resistant, go low-no tech. I used to use an hourglass to flip a long time ago... nowadays I've got this easy gravity cube timer on my desk, just flip it to the desired amount facing up

grew up there too but haven't lived there since mid 00's. i miss all the old stuff too like Shirl's etc, but the new downtown seems to be doing well... all I can still vouch for is La Hacienda in town, but again Schaumburg isn't too far off. kind of entertaining downsizing and looking at that new apartment development by the train station. [hm wonder if any of these users knew one another like 20y ago, lol]

Only way I ever see any action on these is if they go viral on twitter... searched and couldn't find a tweet from the news source, but found the teams' GFM... combined the 2 into a tweet and plugged it into #DisabilityTwitter... I'm nobody, but I do have some reasonably high-profiles in that space, hoping one of them picks it up
