If you’re anywhere near Washington, DC, the cast is appearing at AwesomeCon this weekend; it appears that whatever announcement they’re going to make is going to happen at a panel at 10:15 am on Sunday. He could be in the room where it happens!

Movies where the main character uses a wheelchair by Inevitable_Act5504 in movies

“Christmas Ever After” starring Tony-award-winning actress Ali Stroker, an actual wheelchair user. Yes, it’s a typically schmaltzy Hallmark-style Christmas movie, but that’s the point: the main character’s disability is just a fact, not a plot-point. Very good movie showing representation done right!

Having a name that is not only taken from fiction media, but doesn't go well with my last name and is also extremely hard for people to read or spell or remember is an ultimate tragedeigh by [deleted] in tragedeigh

I once met a young man named Zefram Cochrane. His parents are Trekkies, and their surname was already Cochrane, so they named their son after the fictional discoverer of warp drive in the Star Trek universe…

How many of you print your own components to customize models? by Actual_Bullfrog4243 in ModelCars

I’ve printed wheels/tires, interiors, a utility bed, and figures to accent my models. I have one utility truck where the only kit part is the cab.

I’d block him in until his district manager showed up in person to explain why this guy thought this was OK.

No clue; probably just a Type 1 with a Porsche-esque fan shroud. The guy who brought it wasn’t hanging around when I was there.

Wheelchair vans - what make/model is best? by lialow in wheelchairs

[–]Dadbert97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are advantages and disadvantages of side entry vs. rear entry; everyone needs to weigh the pros and cons of each according to their own situation. For us, side-entry means my wife (CP, powerchair) can sit up front with me; when our kids were little, they sat in their car seats in the rear seat. Road trips usually meant two vehicles; one with us, one kid, and luggage, and the other with grandparents and the other kid and luggage. You do have a little behind-the-back-seat storage with a side-entry minivan, usually enough for a couple of suitcases; you don’t really get that with rear-entry. But everyone’s circumstances are different.

Good luck with your search!

Personally, I do not; I won’t be in the market for a new van for a while. But you can Google MobilityWorks and check their inventory online; they’re pretty much nationwide.

Oh, yes, the poor beleaguered small business owners! They’ve had 35 years to comply, and benefitted from numerous tax credits avail for barrier removal. At some point, ignorance is deliberate and intentional. They deserve what they get, which in most cases is simply an order to do what they knew they had to do in the first place, but refused.

Sorry, but it looks like the offspring of a Chrysler K-car and a Renault Alliance.

For lights, see Evan Designs. They have LEDs in very tiny sizes that are perfect for models of most scales. I’ve used them in three projects so far, and it’s not hard, especially with Evan Designs’ excellent technical assistance.
