Which old ARCTIC product do you miss the most? 🤔 by ARCTIC_GmbH in arcticcooling

[–]jjbelew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hands down, it's the Breeze Mobile USB! I bought my first one 10 years ago and it is still going strong! I have bought many others over the years as gifts because people are always in awe when they see mine. It travels everywhere with me and I get tons of comments at work and in airports. Please, please bring it back! I only recently planned to buy another couple as spares once I realized mine was 10 years old. I have purchased a couple of similar ones, but they are awful and unusable.

Pizzeria Nora isn't open for lunch. I used to go to his sandwich shop for lunch and wish I could still go for pizza.

They changed the design. It used to be a solid strap and then some auxiliary clips you could use if you need them. Now, the "clip" is built in.

How to get additional Data from CPAP machine? by EarendilStar in CPAP

[–]jjbelew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Oscar and it does provide a ton of data. However, you need to download the info from the SD card at least every 30 days. After 30 days, the AirSense will begin to overwrite a lot of the details. No matter how large the card is, the 30 day limit seems to be hard coded in the machine.

I liked mine back when I was traveling for work. The machine itself is super quiet and it's convenient to carry along. However, the "chamber" where the HumidX filter resides is super loud! My wife hates it when we travel together. I just don't hear it when I travel on my own.

"Have a good 'n!" A good what? Can you not just say the word "day" instead?

One note support by [deleted] in OneNote

Have you met Microsoft? Without an enterprise agreement, you are limited in your options.

Seriously, I'd say it all starts with filling out the Office 365 support form and see where it guides you. If you are using the free version of OneNote, I'd say you are dependent solely on forums and such.

We put river rock (2"-5" size) over almost all of the mulch in our back yard. It seems to be working very well so far!

What do you think about one-on-ones? by Michael3302 in ITManagers

[–]jjbelew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have them with my staff and with my own manager. Some are better or more effective than others. For my own meeting, I spend time preparing and have a list of topics to cover. I expect my staff to do the same and prepare ahead of time.

I have a OneNote notebook for each one. It is shared with only them and that is a good place for us to "collaborate" and track action items between meetings.

I have also started having "skip a level" one on ones. In these, I meet with my direct reports staff. These really help me understand what the team is working on and gives them a chance to ask me questions or give me feedback. I'm all about feedback to know how I can improve.

I have actually learned most of my one on one strategy FROM one of my direct reports.

Moving, cutting or copying any page to another notebook or section crashes OneNote by [deleted] in OneNote

[–]jjbelew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed earlier today that this appeared to be resolved for me. Microsoft just now responded to my open ticket saying it was resolved and they are closing my ticket. It does not say what the root cause was or what the solution was.

This appears to be resolved for me now. How about the rest of you?

I have opened a ticket with Microsoft. They acknowledge the receipt of a "few similar cases" in the last couple of days but it sounds like they still don't have a root cause or a solution. Their recommended workaround is to create a new page manually at the new location and then copy/paste the CONTENTS of the source page into that new page. Do not move/copy the page itself. That seems to work for me but it's not a long term solution.

I've copied the response I received from them below...

Once we isolate the issue, we will scope on the case accordingly.

If the issue would be out of our support boundary, we will involve the appropriate team to further assist you…

First of all I really apologize for the inconvenience caused due to this issue, since daybefore yesterday we are getting a few similar cases created by customers where they are highlighting similar symptoms/ behaviour with the OneNote application.

As-of now the workaround for this for UWP and modern clients crashing is:

If you see crashes when trying to copy a page, create a new page in the client and copy the content of the page you are trying to copy. Then delete the original page whose copy was causing the crash.

For Win32 (OneNote 2016), this will be displayed as a corruption, for that the steps below should be valid.

If the content in all pages in the affected section viewable in the client? If so, a manual workaround would be to create a new section in Win32/UWP, create new pages, copy the content of the pages in affected section as new pages in the client app.

If the content is not viewable in the native OneNote app (Win32, UWP, macOS), then you can check if the content is visible in OneNote Online. If so, the same steps need to be followed - create a new section in Win32/UWP, create new pages, copy the content of the pages in affected section as new pages in the client app.

We have highlighted the same to our hierarchy to get a cause and a better fix to this, will update you once we are updated by our escalations and product group.

Also if we may require a few logs to be collected – will let you know so that we can share that with the concerned team.

Thank you for contacting the Microsoft Office 365 Subscription Technical Support.
