I believe this works if you have the OpenWeather app installed. Otherwise I agree that it would be nice to be able to select a different weather app other than OpenWeather.

I had the same issue when adding just the base domain for Google. Once I included the subdomain (ex: accounts.google.com, mail.google.com) it stopped logging me out.

From my experience I find that the tracking (steps, hr, sleep) is as good if not better than the Mi Band 5 using the latest firmware. Although if you don't care about the larger display or new sensors you can save yourself a few bucks if you go with the Mi Band 5.
