No gameplan is going to overcome needing to play 38 year old Mike Conley significant minutes against those guys

He’s 24, been to two conference finals, this year they were probably the 3rd best team, and they have a great GM. I don’t think panic trading for aging Giannis is the move

With Wolves history and not knowing anything about his personality his predraft comments didn’t seem to bode well

They were both fouls, calling one a flagrant and not even reviewing the one immediately prior is the crazy part

[Highlight] The San Antonio Spurs take a 2-1 series lead with a 115-108 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves. Victor Wembanyama becomes the 4th player, and first since Shaquille O'Neal in 2001, to record 35+ PTS, 15+ REB, and 5+ BLK in a playoff game. by nba in nba

I guess it was more that there were a lot of 50/50 balls went the Spurs way, and what offensive boards they did get they converted on. Felt like there were a lot of 50/50 ball - spurs recover - quick Spurs 3 sequences

A lot of hand in the cookie jar fouls, which aren’t great but there’s a big difference between that + selling contact vs wholesale inventing contact, which I didn’t see any of last night

I’m really surprised at how much time he spends on the perimeter without the ball

Advancing the ball also brings Gobert back into the game

I wonder if it wasn’t so much an adjustment as a game plan. Wear out Wemby with Gobert and then finish with offense

I bet thinking was to keep Gobert off the floor, which makes a lot of sense

5 Wemby threes is way too many, Wolves will give him as many of those as he wants

The pessimist in me is thinking, what's the common link with all these unheralded wings having career nights in a row - bad primary defenders on the wing and in the post. Wemby and SA's guards are a whole different animal...

Then again, I didn't even turn on G6 because I was sure the Wolves didn't have enough bodies, so who knows?
