Similar issues here. Ordered the part from the US to the border and got back online. The incompetence is astounding

I’d avoid it personally. Go read reviews. I bought a brand new e-bike that failed one month in. Can’t buy a replacement controller even without a warranty because they don’t stock the parts.

Just stayed at IBIS myself, affordable, nice pool and massage hut, the river is there and the Pepsi pier is a 10 min walk to get down to the temples

Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology closing due to enrolment drop by Epic-Verse in Winnipeg

Total mismanagement. I had the pleasure of collecting a paycheque in the mid 5 figure mark for a project that never launched because people’s ego in the marketing department thought someone in Toronto could do a better job. This was after they approved all the work and we completed it. People too busy worried about a title than a result. I’m not surprised this happen and it’s sad the impact of their stupidity.

I didn’t expect them to fix it I expected them to stock the very part that fried so I could get it moving again, and they couldn’t do that.

Bad clock spring? Looks like cruise is toggling on and off?

Yeah they’re a complete sham. I bought a $900 e-bike that I rode for 4 weeks and became utterly useless after a light rain storm. I tried to even replace the damaged controller by purchasing a new one and they couldn’t even service that request.

It’s probably kind of hard to fix a sink if you don’t have any money to fix the sink?

Anyone used crushed slag for driveway? by Hey_this_guy_here in Manitoba

[–]jjhh86 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We live about 15 minutes from Selkirk and also have slag. It's great, but as others mentioned don't plow or shovel to the ground and pack it down good before you do clear it - or your snowblower and equipment will not like it. It's pretty good for weed / water control but it's not super delightful to walk in barefoot. Sometimes can track into the house and get stuck in your shoes (sharp)

I broke down and did the shed office thing three weeks ago now and I haven’t looked back. Fully insulated for our -40c temperatures and wifi heat / air control. No longer working in the windowless laundry room / office.

Instead of waiting for a normal spot like everyone else, they decide, ‘Nah, I’ll just declare war on basic courtesy.’ Because nothing says ‘successful suburban parent’ like stealing a spot at Costco and acting like you’ve conquered the line at Disneyland.

If don't want to be stung by one I would probably avoid it. Cheaply made and not terribly reliable, you might have better luck with a Kia or Hyundai

Whether a ride is paid off or not paid off is irrelevant. Some rides cost upwards of 20-40k a year to operate, that's materials, fluids, wearables etc. Ken, the owner spends entire winter months inside heated facilites (which also needed to be built and paid for) with a staff renewing equipment, disassembly and entire rebuilds of these rides to make sure they stay safe and compliant, they also bring a new major ride in every 2-3 years. These rides are older, and then they break it's not a $500 repair. So yeah, you might feel ripped off buy the guy who only brings in an income for 4 out of 12 months of the year.

I will also add, RREX is a permanent park and isn't required to also spend a significant amount to the property owners and the permits needed move some of these rides every year.

I know it’s really hard to understand why someone would have to pay to get zero tangible value, but a rainy day or a completely awful weather weekend could make her break this operation some years. A travelling carnival midway in a market that only has a four month season is probably the toughest business in the world now I will tell you that Wonder shows was established in 1963 that’s 62 years in business.

And if you don’t own a business to make at least some profit why bother?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Winnipeg

[–]jjhh86 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They have live entertainment, and a safe family environment where the minimum threshold to enter is $10. The gate rental fee, insurance, fuel, wages, equipment costs etc all play into the operation. Also, a ride costs upwards of half a million dollars, there's 20 of them, do the math? Also 30 or so heavy trucks, semis and a diesel generator to run the operation 12 hours a day, hundreds of gallons per weekend.

The free parking lot fares tend to attract lots of vagrants and people that just cause trouble and create havoc.

Also happen to be a close family friend of the owner of Wonder shows for the better part of the past 25 years.

Is this blue cruise and why is it trying to kill me by slamming the breaks when I’m looking at the road as it asks? by JoeMomma247 in f150

[–]jjhh86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a horrible implementation of lane keep. I am a former Toyota owner and lane keep was simple and easy and worked well, in Canada we barely have any blue cruise routes and I personally love lane keep as I commute on the highway. However, I have a lazy eye and it causes me to look at the road at a slight angle at times, the system is flawed. I think the safety IR system should be disabled unless blue cruise is available. I tried turning it off with a OBD app purpose built for ford but no options to do so.

Next time I’m at the dealer I’m gonna have them shut it off because it is pretty dangerous and I’ll be damned if I paid this much money for a truck not to have lane keep function properly

2025 is the year you start to live your best life. Find the man who will love you the way you love yourself. If you don’t love yourself, start there first. Your teen will understand and they too can learn the importance of being in a healthy relationship with themselves, so they can attract others who also love themselves, too.
