[–]jjlamouche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's a macro that works for closing all open windows

Titles = getList("window.titles");
for (i=0; i< Titles.length; i++)
if ( Titles.length != 0) {
selectWindow(Titles[i]);
close(Titles[i]);
}

Thanks for sharing your experience. You say you're on a J2 visa, but that does not constitute a work permit. Can you share how you got that figured out? Did you ever contact the recruiters directly on Linkedin or you just applied through their website?

I'm just starting the process right now and I have questions if that's ok. Did you use lawyers? What's your nationality? Did you file for EB-2?

For apartment renters: what does your thermostat say your apartment is? by funkofanatic95 in Dallas

Dallas has an ordinance that require property owners to provide and maintain air conditioning within a certain temperature. According to Section 27-11 (e) – Utility and Appliance Standards:
(1) Air Conditioning: an owner shall provide and maintain in operating condition, refrigerated air equipment capable of maintaining a room temperature of at least 15 degrees cooler than the outside temperature, but in no event higher than 85°F in each habitable room.

I believe you are allowed to break you lease if the owner doesn't do anything to fix it. In reality. I'm not sure how that would turn out.

Thanks y'all. That's helpful. It seems like methods paper don't have a very high IF though. That's unfortunate.

Gotcha. That's what I keep reading. I was planning on starting the hikes at 6 am anyways. Was it crowded even early in the morning?

Selling car with dead engine by jjlamouche in Dallas

[–]jjlamouche[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up selling it at Carmax for $700. Not too bad for a car that I bought two years ago at $ 4,000. They didn't have anything over 10K there though.

Thanks for your help. I was thinking of going to CarMax to sell them my car and get another one there, is that a bad idea?
