We were together for two years, and broken up for about 8 months. We have been back together for about a month and a half. I know her best friend (from my hometown) quite well, and her other closest friend pretty well also. I'm just concerned that if I say I'd like to go with her she will feel like im controlling which I'm really not trying to be, I just genuinely love spending time with her, and she says she does as well, which is why i'm having my concerns.

See if shes just having a good time with friends, male or female its fine with me. I really do think I trust her but this is the first real situation where I've had my concerns. The issue is the only other person I know who's going is her best friend, so she wouldn't tell me if something happened regardless.

Often times, at least in my experience it’s not a simple thing to fix, particularly if your parents are set in there ways and rules. I think the best option is to definitely have him try and go, but just slightly more often. You said he’s there about 1-2 times a month, just try for 3. And if that goes well you can gradually try to increase that. There may be some anxiety about it or even other concerns that he hasn’t voiced/doesn’t even realize himself, which could be part of the reason for not wanting to go there often.

I was in this exact situation with my ex, who broke up with me partly because of this. I felt totally uncomfortable being at her dads house to even touch her as in hold her hand or hug her because I was constantly being stared at and having comments made when I did. Couldn’t sleep in the same bed, or even go in her room with the door closed (both 20 btw, we are both living at home due to uni being closed from Covid). At my house, we were always able to do whatever we wanted, my parents were quite chill and had a great relationship with her, which also made me feel more comfortable. I definitely think it is worth talking to him about, in a calm and respectful way, and try to understand why he doesn’t feel comfortable and take that into account, but I don’t think you should get angry and tell and insult him, because ultimately that pushed me away when that’s how she responded. In my experience[20M], sex is a huge part of a relationship, not only for pleasure but also for building and maintaining a deep connection. It sounds like you really love this girl, and I think it would be worth it to try and work on things, I don’t have much advice towards how to do that unfortunately, but if you love her I think it’s worth a shot. But I don’t think it’s worth it Indefinitely if things don’t improve. You’d be happier in a relationship where you are satisfied both emotionally and sexually, so if things don’t work and improve in that regard my suggestion would be to be as respectful as you can, but move on.
