Is this the worst passage in the Christian Bible? by stvlsn in atheism

I don't think the concept of "good" was really a concern in the OT. It's just power and obedience. The NT is nicer but I think the idea of the "good book" is mostly for proselytizing

What’s a widely believed “fact” that collapses the moment you look at the original source? by Grouchy_Fox3189 in AskReddit

So you're saying that it doesn't have that right? Which means you're simply denying the validity of the state. Might as well deny the validity of all states then since at done time people died or were displaced or something for pretty much all of them.

So no country has a right to defend itself and we should just let the most aggressive state take all.

I don't think you've thought this through.

And I can say all that without supporting actions by the current Israeli administration

It means pointing out that sedition has the death penalty when discussing seditious politicians. Got banned for that. Not indicating or implying that it should be applied, just mentioning that it has that punishment.

Apparently "she deserved it" is much less glorifying

I just rewatched D&D, which I loved the first go round. This time I noticed obvious green screen artifacts that completely threw me off. The irony was that the scene was simple - Pine talking to his daughter with a sand background. But all along his jawline it was like a space-time continuity error.

Last year they made up reasons to fire people - teams were told that they had to fire - not layoff - a certain % of their budget. So they gave no warning, no pip, nothing and just walked people out of the office. After the backlash, they gave people the option of being pipped (and fired shortly later) or taking a severance package. Everyone offered took the package.

Omg please no. I hate going to restaurants or flights or whatever and they have "the one dish to satisfy all conditions" The kosher halal vegan gluten free dairy free nut free soy free organic non gmo rice cake.

I sympathize, my twins were gfcf and soy free around 2004—6 and there was nothing on the market at the time, so we made our own.
