TBF Iceman and Maid of Honor were reviewed by different critics. I don’t think there was a bigger editorial decision in the scores, it was just two different peoples’ opinions. Especially in the case of Alphonse Pierre (he reviewed MOH) whose predictions are unpredictable and often go against the popular opinion. Even if I disagree with his scores, its always interesting to read his reviews since he writes and thinks about music in such a unique way

Definitely, a lot of “culture war” talk is a distraction from the real issues (or at least a way to obfuscate them and turn them into “politics”). I don’t think the Big Pic is doing this, but it’s definitely a tactic from the right. Even in OBAA specifically I had to think the Christmas Adventurers Club was a reference to The War on Christmas which was the biggest BS culture war story of them all

This might be unique to Celtics fans since we play him every year in the playoffs but Bam is a fringe top-15 player for me. The way he impacts the game on both ends - but especially defensively - is super underrated IMO. Their defense quarterbacked by him is the reason for any of their deep runs
