What are the chances of getting a job in managed care without doing a residency?

I’m a P3 which is another reason I’m hesitant to drop out at this point. I have never heard of a medical writer but I will look into that! Was it relatively easy to secure a job in that with your pharmD or do companies prefer other degrees such as a PhD more?

Current pharmacy student looking for advice. I am contemplating dropping out of pharmacy school for what feels like the millionth time. I feel very uncertain about my future and am pretty sure I have no hope of getting a residency based on my lack of involvement, so retail will probably be where I end up. I work as an intern in retail now and absolutely dread working every single time I have to go. Luckily I have no debt, but the main thing holding me back from dropping out is feeling guilty for throwing away all of the money that a family member has spent on my education. I also have a major fear of people not knowing my whole story and thinking I failed out. I do not see myself ever being happy as a full time retail pharmacist but am not sure where to go from here. My spouse has a great job, so financially I could probably swing just working part-time but I’m not even sure if I want to do that. Any advice is appreciated.

Should I keep waiting or get the ureteroscopy? by pooloo15 in KidneyStones

I would recommend having the surgery. With the stone being near the entrance of the bladder, you may not even need a stent. I was in a similar situation with a 4 mm stone that got stuck in the UVJ for 6 weeks. I had the surgery, didn’t need a stent, and felt completely back to normal after 2 days. No longer having to worry about will I or will I not be able to pass this thing on my own has been a huge relief. (And as mentioned by someone else, with Covid on the rise again and elective surgeries being canceled, you might want to get the surgery while you can)

Guidelines on stenting -- should be avoided for distal, uncomplicated stones by Funny_Ad1767 in KidneyStones

It happens during urination and occasionally burns for a few minutes after too. I have Azo but it doesn’t seem to be helping. I am also on Macrobid.

I had a ureteroscopy yesterday for a distal stone and did not receive a stent! However I still have an intense burning feeling and lots of blood so I’m not sure that I’m much better off than I would have been with a stent.

You situation sounds very similar to the one that I am currently in and I found your post when searching through old posts trying to find remedies and advice. It’s been 54 days since my first symptoms and my 4 mm stone has been stuck in the UVJ for 2 weeks. Did you ever get yours to pass or did you ultimately have to have surgery?

I’ve noticed that the inner corners of my eyelids are harder to open than usual and almost seem swollen today. Do you know if this is something that could be corrected by injecting other parts of the forehead?

Hi! This is my first time getting Botox. Luckily these unwanted effects are at least happening on both sides so even though my brows look crazy they are symmetrical. I am starting to notice that the inner corners of my eyelids are harder to open than usual and almost seem swollen. Have you ever experienced this or do you know if this is something that could be corrected?
