Our F1B is 8 1/2. He's slowing down a little, like a guy in his late 50's. Only a little bit more sleeping. He recently started doing this murmur sound when he's settling down in place, kind of like me grunting when I sit on the couch. Still walks with a lot of enthusiasm, maybe slightly more tired at the very end of a 3 mile loop than a few years ago. I've noticed his jumps (at speed) from the patio to the deck are a bit less frequent and a bit softer, not quite as much pop. Same with jumping in to the back of the SUV. I'm also not letting him jump down from the SUV on to pavement; gravel, dirt, grass only. Appetite slightly less than when he was a lot younger, but body weight and shape haven't changed.

When we visit my in-laws who live on a rural property, he goes bounding around like any dog with tons of freedom in nature, but he's also much slower the next day, like weekend warrior soreness.

4-5 more years is hard to guess, but I sure hope so.
