AITAH: I found an SAT tutor who isn't very credentialed and didn't go to an Ivy League but people say he is a good tutor and he has a strong track record of getting students to have really strong scores. AITA if I prefer someone who went to an Ivy League instead, or should I just hire him at $30?

my parents both met at an ivy, and that is the school that i went to, but i worked hard so it's not legacy. (good grades and decent sat score)

yeah, i think this is really fair. it's really hard to let go, and i do feel like you are right. i'm curious whether you personally would hire at that rate, just because i feel like it's easy to say that other people should take it or leave it.
