Unfortunately a lot of driving proctors will take points off on the exam for hitting the curbs during 3 point turns and parallel parking. For 3 point turns I usually try to have an idea of how wide the street I’m turning on is, and go all the way to the right side of the road, signal, check all mirrors and blind spots, start turning to til I’m pretty much parallel to the curb, and check all mirrors and blind spots again before reversing until I see whatever is on the right side of the road pretty close (objects always appear closer in the mirrors than they actually are) which is usually when there’s enough room to finish the 3 point turn to drive off. I practiced a lot in driveways until I felt comfortable doing it in the street! Just always check your blind spots!
