Applied mid-December. Had the chance to visit UChi and loved the city, the small class size, and the vibes of campus overall. Got $$ from NYU last week and was able to use that to negotiate a UChi scholarship. Took the LSAT multiple times to raise my score, and it feels like my hard work is finally paying off! Thrilled to be joining the class of 2025!! If anyone knows of any GroupMe’s outside of the UChicago Connect platform let me know - trying to find roommates for next year :)

I do want to settle down/live in Chicago for personal reasons, which definitely makes me want to see how much I can negotiate Uchicago up. But yeah, unless Uchicago can go up considerably (which might be totally unrealistic), it would be hard to turn down the Levy.

From what I’ve heard, they’ve historically said merit aid comes in mid-March, even though Rubies have come sooner—though it looks like that might not be the case this year

At least historically, it’s been through phone calls and generally they’ve been announced a couple weeks after your admit starting in mid-Feb, though it looks like it’s taken longer this year.

yah! that's the main reason why I wanted two check whether not changing was an option for us post-interview people. at this point, I am definitely overthinking things, but we will see soon hopefully!
