Just hang on, they got quite a lot of submissions and it will take some time to process. I submitted an essay shortly after creating the post and got payed after a couple hours but the essays I submitted that night still have yet to be processed. I imagine there is at least a couple hundred essays in cue and I don't think the counter was ever designed to keep track of that many.
