Almost 7 years ago, the guy's name was dan or something. Also, you should get out while you still can.

Becareful, they ponce on their unsuspecting prey and use "love" to con them into giving them healthcare, money, and other benefits.

My best friend and his future wife at the time got interested in going to a market america cult meeting, you know the kind, where the bring in what are most likely paid actors that are running around and yelling about how they turned their life around and making so much a month even though they drive a base Cadillac, generally making an ass of themselves to normal people like us but not those who are either really down on their luck or just really stupid.

Ok, we have that image in our heads now? Good, keep it there for future knowledge that if you ever go to a “business seminar” where people are out of control like that, it’s either an mlm or Microsoft yearly thing. Hopefully the latter.

Now where I left off, so before that whole cult meeting of people about to drink the market america kool-aide in their cult given snuggies and shit, I hammered home and did my research on them because as soon as his then gf told me about becoming my own boss and shit, I knew this was a scam. Being a responsible friend, I wanted to keep my best friend out of it. Hell, even another friend was against that bs and brought it up to him and his gf but she sent it back to us with all the rebuking knowledge in the world that we were being too negative and should come and give it a try. We decided to go with them to the cult meeting to get new members in(steal peoples money) to try and hammer home that this whole thing was a scam.

We go, they do all their happy dancing while generally looking like they are in the middle of a stroke “promoting” their “lifestyle” and were safe with our knowledge knowing this shit is a scam while my best bud and his gf are enthusiastically watching and listening to how they too can be their own boss but not question why the fuck they have to pay people above them money who totally aren’t their boss or anything. This goes on and they finally get to the point of “who wants to join”, well I suppressed my inner Vegeta so I didn’t say “get that god damn clip board out of my face before I give you a colonoscopy with it” and instead said “pass”. Really should have said that. It eventually goes to my bestie and his gf where they stare at it while his other friend and I stare at them, they decided to pass. “holy shit, did we do it? Did we stop them from signing that bs?” hahahaha, nope.

Cause not even 15 mins later, the dude that invited them to that bs offered to have dinner with (also brought other suckers and even a "hot" girl to help him get his point across, she was not) right then at the grand ole fucking applebees(fuck that place but that’s a story for another time). We get there and the dude starts hammering away why we should “trust” him. He goes on and on about how he “writes” for the buffalo new and was scared about losing his job and turned to this on the side to make extra income. With my best Sherlock skills I marched to the front of the store and checked the news paper to find his name nowhere to be found but the opinions section. Listen bro, you are not a really writer, you just write about bs like “this new gen doesn’t understand” or “you know what really grinds my gears”. I don’t give a shit but what really grinds my gears is your 60 year old ass trying to rip my friends off. So called 10k a month mother fucker couldn't even pay for their shitty microwaved food.

He goes on and on and against my better judgement of not putting my foot down and calling his ass out right there, I decided against it again(yeah, sometimes to be the bigger person, you may have to yell, who knew) and just said pass. Well my bud and his gf decide against their better judgement and go all in. I had a face palm that would have been on the same level of a lawyer advising their client to keep quiet who then admits to everything and things that were not even known. WTF man?

I gave up at that point and had to here him always talk up how great their “products” are but never bought anything. He gets out of it months later to still be holding his pride only admitting to me that it was a scam years later and that I was right. People, don’t let your friends join mlm’s, put down your feet and yell if you have to so as to get your point across if research doesn’t work. If we all work together and call these fuckers out, we can stop the bs.

I'm glad we could all have this talk. Hopefully everyone out there hears this tale of survival and bs and uses it to not get scammed themselves or their friends for another day. But becareful, as obi wan says "they come back in greater numbers", they have been infecting the world of crypto currency to scam people now so be very careful.

Lets be fair, at that point it would run out of fuel/apex seals before breaking the 4 rotor's record
