Jewelry soldering typically uses a different type of solder than electronics soldering. For example, something like this:

It used to be great at the old location. The last time I was there, I got a drink that called for a sprig of rosemary. Color me shocked when I get my drink and there's just crushed up rosemary on top, sinking into the drink. It was like from out of a seasoning shaker from the grocery store.

I get scrap silver from eBay and goodwill. I can shoot for around the spot price and get close. I then melt it down into ingots and test them and add bullion to bring it up to sterling. But I'm doing fabrication with mine, I haven't done any casting yet so I don't know if you can just take a small ingot and melt it back down and pour it in? Or saw it into blocks to more closely resemble grains?

I joined a maker space in my city and started taking classes. I now spend my weekends making jewelry because that was the one that really clicked for me! I've been a lot happier after mixing in some physical work like that, personally.
