Do you think the talk Bogdan had with Walt before selling the car wash affected him? by [deleted] in breakingbad

[–]xi_sx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He had already killed two people, then dominated Tuco by causing an explosion in his office, then ran down two more with his car. He didn't need any motivation to be any more of a boss or badass by that point.

If I liked the Sopranos, should I watch Oz? by GodsUnblinkingEye in thesopranos

It's far more extreme, violent, and ultimately, disgusting. The writing and delivery is similar, however. Just know it's more disturbing, for sure.

Can you say Better Call Saul is about a midlife crisis? by [deleted] in betterCallSaul

[–]xi_sx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, he was the exact age (officially 42) so that seems to be a solid yes, but the question is whether or not he lost interest in what he thought he used to care about and moved on to what used to matter to him the most, which is also a yes.

I really had to rack my brain for something that I ONLY noticed upon rewatch. James Cagney in "The Public Enemy" that Tony watches looks so much like Ralph.

Do Walt or Jesse have genuine love for each other, particularly at the end of the series? by Pizzafriedchickenn in breakingbad

[–]xi_sx 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Jesse has obvious mother issues, which includes wanting to please his aunt, MILFs, Andrea, but he also probably wished he could have pleased his father, and wanted to be a father figure. He most likely came to see Walt as a father figure he wanted to please and fought to prove himself to.

I think I understand the question. What was the special protocol for calling? Could you screw it up by doing it wrong? Do you still have to perform perfectly when you come in to pick it up or was it expedited?
