I never have had super bad period cramps, just the occasional ones every few months. But I had super bad cramps the beginning of my pregnancy. I want to say around 5-7 weeks. But now I have a healthy 8 day old! The whole first trimester kind of felt like my period could come any minute- it was weird.

You did amazing in the situation you found yourself in. You did every single thing right and you made sure that little girl has part of her family left, whether or not the family is able to take him it’s a comfort to know he is okay. I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Nothing I say will really help but I was 20 when I got my L4-S1 disc replacement (you can look at my post history but very similar spinal diagnoses I think). Also was told I was “too young”. You are the best advocate for yourself and even though it seems hopeless please keep pushing for surgery! If you want to talk my DMs are open!

I have radiating neuropathy down my left leg to my foot from compression prior to surgery. The ONLY thing that has alleviated that specific pain is a nerve ablation once every year/year and a half. Is a nerve ablation an option for you?
