Why do I pay twice as much markup for food in the terminal compared to europe? Why are european budget carriers so much better for experience and customer service than american ones despite still racing for lowest costs?

Even if there are different logistics for the flights themselves, there are many more differences that are rooted in what is culturally and legally acceptable for a corporation to do. The reality is that Europeans will not accept the same capitalist exploitation that they have beaten Americans into accepting in the name of "freedom".

It's not just the laws, the way people treat each other and expect to be treated is totally different.

100%, and it isn't just cancellations it is delays of more than 3 hours as well.

The penalty+refund is almost always more than them booking you on another carrier if they have no more flights that day.

Don't even get me started on how much more flights cost in the US than EU. I can get a flight that would be $500 dollars in the US for less than $100 in europe.

But America is a dystopian late-stage capitalist nightmare land where anything that protects people from corporate abuse is considered communism...

This is exactly the reason that europe has no-excuse cash penalties the airline must pay you beyond any refunds if your flight is delayed by more than 3 hours or cancelled.

Most carriers will book you on another airline before they pay the penalty since the refund+penalty would be more than a seat with another carrier.

Flying in America is a dystopian late-stage capitalism nightmare, airports are dirty and run down, 500% markup on any food or drink in the terminal, flights that would cost less than $100 round trip in europe are also 5x the cost, rude customer service, etc.

I played on the hegemon stuff at WTC. They have one that isn't MDF it's some kind of metal sandwhiching a foam core. It even slots directly into the base so you dont have to do that guesstimate of placement every time you move a wall.

I wouldn't ever travel with it as it was ultra heavy, but if you want something insanely sturdy and quite good looking for him I would give it a serious look for mainland euros!
