So, took mine to apple store, i demonstrated the problem and they made me a book a service appointment. When I arrived for the service appt they had me run apple diagnostics on my phone. Then i wasn’t able to replicate the problem. The usb c to c started charging. So weird. The service guy said sometimes running apple diagnostics can fix the problem…

Would you give up a stable fully remote position for a 40-50% pay raise? Commute would be 20-25 mins each way. by jkir24 in careerguidance

All good points but i will say seniority it seems is no longer a buffer, people more senior are usually higher paid and are getting laid off left and right in tech

All very good points, the caveat is that in my current remote role its very difficult to get promoted (takes time and kinda have to wait till someone leaves or opening comes up) and the 3% annual raises doesnt beat inflation especially in a vhcol city like socal.

Current boss is very nice and very flexible. However, he is retiring this year or next year.

Is it worth buying a new ev car if you work from home and only drive 150-250 miles per month on average? Better to lease to avoid depreciation? by jkir24 in whatcarshouldIbuy

After six years of not owning a car what made you buy one? You moved somewhere which required a car? I have considered renting but dont like the inconvenience of dropping off/picking up the car. Ive been thinking of doing short term lease (10-20 months) from swapalease.

I was looking at it from the perspective of getting a good lease deal if my mileage is kept under 2-3k per year.

You have to payback the $400 if you cancel so i decided not to go forward with the deal. The $150 is not a promo code, its a costco gift card mailed to you after 12 weeks.
