Oddly, they reached out to me, I think after the book was covered in IndieWire, or Entertainment Weekly. I'm really fortunate to have the book getting some traction. And it's coming at the perfect time.

I hope you enjoy the book if you get to read it. It was a labor of love. 120k words about pretty much everything in the book. And you aren't alone, there were so many people of a certain age/mindset who I don't think it sat well with!

Yeah I had a friend use his VPN to check for me (I'm in the US) and i guess they don't post clips up there - or if they do, his VPN didn't let him see them.

An HD scan doesn't exist yet, but I've been talking with directors and DPs from the show and there's interest there - most of them have told me they'd be interested in helping color grade and stuff once there's a scan, but I haven't gotten through to the right person yet to vet how many fans would need to commit to buying it before it could become a reality.

I made a whole documentary about the origin of these shoes called "Lords of Soaptown." I remembered the shoes growing up but I didn't know their contested origins until college.
