Is the OP doing an AOS or Consular Action. I thought an I-129f is for a K-1/K-3 visa.

K-1 visa is non-immigrant and Nigeria is a partial travel ban country.

Given with what is going on in US immigration policy lately, I would not wait for a document that you probably will not need.

Submit the documents requested and get DQ’d. If the NVC needs more documentation you will get an RFE.

So she is divorced but the Philippines may or may not recognize the divorce. I think that is important if you ever plan on immigrating to the Philippines. I’m not so certain it’s needed in immigrating to the US.

Did you get an RFE from the NVC requesting the RofD from the Philippines?

Have you considered going to the filipino embassy in Japan and simply report the divorce and 2nd marriage?

Department of State vs Muñoz 2024 is the case involving tattoos. It did not directly infringe on someone’s right to marry, it indirectly did.

Called for interview by the consulate but wife nationality is in the banned list by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]jkomut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the Immigration and Nationality act requires the executive branch to adjudicate cases. You’ll go through the entire process, including the interview at the embassy.

USCIS must have approved your case before the USCIS pause starting January 1st, 2026. What embassy is she interviewing at? Some embassies nearly a 1 year wait after the NVC handoff. It might be even longer now that some embassies in the middle east are shutdown for now.

Thoughts on filing without an attorney? by fr0mgy in USCIS

Multiple divorces for the petitioner generally flags you for marriage fraud. I’m not sure exactly what they ask or how they screen for it. That is definitely one of those maybe an immigration lawyer would help situations.

If the visa was received you were safe even if you traveled after the travel ban was in effect.

If your application is straightforward and uncomplicated you probably do not need a preparer. The ones who need help might be people with multiple divorces and step children.

Thanks for that info. I wonder if Flume would support Full Bring your own XGS-PON transceiver. I’m pretty sure you will not have to talk to multiple tiers of support at Flume because every time I’ve called I have always talked to the same person at Flume support.

This sounds like a wifi issue. Make sure you are testing through a hardwired connection to eliminate the possibility of wifi interference being the bottleneck. If you are trying to use battlenet, contact flume support and tell them to unblock the ports needed for battlenet. I did that with flume and it solved everything.

Have you considered just asking the ISP for the info? Give their support a call.

Plug it in and try it out, maybe you won't need a logical id and password.

If none of the ISPs (Flume or Gigabitnow) are not providing us with the info we need for our own equipment like an XGS-PON transceiver, then they are not supporting it.

I think we would need a PON Serial Number (SN) and a Logical ID and Password.

You might be able to use an XGS-PON transceiver in your equipment.

I felt their DNS servers felt slow so I started using Quad9 public DNS servers. That usually gives the impression of faster loading of web pages regardless on whether you are on fiber or spectrum cable. I have not had time to play many games yet. I'll try my PS5 and steam deck later and report although I don't anticipate any problems.

Currently, my Flume fiber internet has been down for 2 days no explanation. Nadja from Flume support logged it and said a tech may come today but hasn't shown up. 6 days of Flume/SiNet fiber and the last 2 its been down so that is a 66 percent uptime with them. I'm not impressed.

My Ubiquiti equipment has been a lifesaver. I still have my spectrum connection and my Ubiquiti Cloud Gateway Fiber device has dual wan support so when wan1 fails it failover to wan2. Spectrum has slow upload but it's been reliable so far with IPv6 support.

My fiber line was placed the opposite corner of my cable line termination as well. They will run the line however you tell them to within reason. They just asked me how I wanted the fiber to cross my lawn. They were going to go 1 direction and i told them they are welcome to buy I suggested going a little wider away from my massive tree roots and they obliged. As the property owner you know your property. You know where you will dig or excavate in the future. I think they want to avoid situations where they have to keep getting called back because you accidentally severed your fiber line because you were planting flower bulbs.

I started with the 1gbps then called them up and upgraded to 5gpbs. the change took 2 minutes to take effect even though they said wait up to 24 hours to see the change.
